Overall Review: Good, would recommend. Running this bird with a i7-12700k, 3070ti. Runs beautifully. One thing is that you might need to update the bios before you boot OS. As for me it gave me issues with OS detection and Drive detection until I updated it which solved the issues.

Pros: Nice features for the price (mostly the included WiFi), assuming you get it on sale (I got it for $99).

Cons: If you're reusing older hardware, setup can be a pain or potentially impossible.

Overall Review: If you've bought this motherboard along with entirely new components, I see no reason so far not to recommend it if you can get it for a good price. However, if you're using any legacy hardware, especially an older video card, as I was doing for a budget utilitarian desktop build, beware.

After installing all hardware and turning on the box for the first time, I was greeted with a blank screen and 5 short beeps. The manual gave an explanation of "CPU Error". If you Google this problem you will see MANY discussions of it with several different solutions, usually relating to video hardware (and definitely not the CPU).

After doing everything from clearing the BIOS, to swapping monitors and video inputs, to flashing the BIOS, what I found was that, not only will the board refuse to post without video hardware, but the BIOS is also configured by default to *require* a UEFI video card. It will simply not detect a legacy card at all meaning that, if you have one, the board will simultaneously give you no way to change the setting so that it will work, while also giving you an error telling you that it is the CPUs fault. Moreover, if you do not have a newer video card to swap in, at least temporarily, in order to change the BIOS setting (under Boot -> PCIe after enabling the compatibility module) from UEFI to Legacy (there is no option for Auto or similar), then there will simply be no way to boot the computer.

Needless to say, this is incredibly ridiculous software behavior. If you're upgrading from an older computer and hoping to reuse parts to cut down on expense, I would avoid this board. At the regular prices the ASRock board is cheaper by enough to buy yourself a WiFi module.
