The price is right.
ASUS is my go-to brand, they never let me down. You get all the cool features that are out with the 77 chip set without paying over $200. The most important being the speed, and the SSD buffering.
Installation was easy, the board is well designed.
The BIOS is super easy to navigate and use.
Only one 3 pin fan connector. (not a huge deal because molex)
I docked an egg because it didn't come with nearly as many extras in the box as I remember getting on previous motherboard purchases. You get the board, the back-plate, the CD/manual, and 2 SATA6 cables. That's it. I would have liked to have seen extra stuff.
Read up on the H77 boards before you buy!!
They do not overclock! If you want to overclock buy the Z77 model.
When you buy an H77 board you are saving money buy cutting out some options and slots/hookups that are on the Z77. You are also giving up overclocking.

Decided after years of buying computers out of the box to put one together myself. Bought all the parts through newegg (5stars) and with the help of a friend and a 6-pack assembled it easily. Worked perfectly. All the the components connected to the MB without any hassles. The notations on the MB itself were very helpful.
Now for the bad. A few days ago. Roughly 1 year and 6 months (6 months past warranty) after purchase everything stopped. Wouldn't boot up or recognize my HD. Connected HD to another computer and it works fine. Connect SATA to a HD from another computer and that one doesn't work. See the connection? Same with my DVD player. Dead SATA controller. caveat emptor.
