Great investment at a price

-Stable frames
-Runs cool
-Framerate workhorse
-No fires as of yet.

- current price (unfortunate side-effect to chip shortage and scalpers)
-it did not give bring my dad's respect
-boss may be annoyed to find out what I used the company card on.

Managed to get this on company card just before it was sold out to scalpers.

managed to ensure minecraft, Skyrim, and Fallout all ran smoothly even with 400 mods each. Immediately saw my frames stick to a consistant 60FPS in those aforementioned games.

every normal game ran at a stable 50FPS up to 100FPS at 3440x1440 Ultrawide. Games tested inclide, Far cry 5, Tom Clancy's Rainbow six Siege, The Division 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Battlefield 4, Payday 2, Call of Duty Modern warfare (2019) and VR games (half life Alyx, Fallout 4 VR and SkyrimVR)

TOP CRITICAL REVIEW
Hot product, but hot card

The 6700XT is a nice GPU for 1440p, and the MSI Mech runs silently or quietly unless I really slam it in a benchmark.

It can get very hot on the default fan curve. Running the Unigine Heaven benchmark (which it can run maxed out!), my "junction temperature" hits 99C, while the core temperature hits 72C. It could be my case's cooling, but that spread between two spots on the same card seems large from what I've read, and yet is a common report for MSI Mech 6700XTs. Therefore, I'm concerned that later in the card's life, that max load junction temperature will inch up toward the 110C mark where RX 5000/6000-series cards throttle. At idle, the temps are fairly close at 45C and 41C. I don't know how even the 6750XT can use what looks to be the same cooler.

The card is also physically a little wide, though I could've checked that before buying. I had to nudge the PCIe power cable away from the side panel a bit on my mid-tower case.

One issue with AMD Radeon cards in general is that the VRAM can get stuck at max clock (which wastes power/heat), which I fixed by setting my monitor to its lower refresh rate when I'm not gaming. Playing with custom monitor resolutions/timings might also fix it.

I regret not waiting to buy a three-fan XFX or PowerColor model which I think would put a lower ceiling on max temps.
