Runs cool.
The first chip that I ordered (a C1 stepping shipped in late Feb09) failed OCCT stress testing at its rated speed and voltage settings. RMA'd it for a replacement and received a second C1 chip that also failed stress testing (within 90 minutes) running at its rated speed. Verified the defect by substituting a known good CPU in the same computer, which passed long-term testing. Concluded that both Q9550's came from a "bad batch." These are the first CPUs that I've ever had to return.
Working to obtain a full refund. I remain an ardent Newegg fan.
