UPDATED: Love the build quality and the overall look. I resolved the problem with my mouse and I hope this works for you too.

I like the design of the mouse itself. The soft touch rubber on the main body of the mouse feels grippy and overall is comfortable. I like what they did with the LED lights around the mouse itself. The ability to change them to whatever color you like is a nice touch.

Personally, I like that you’re able to take weight out of this mouse as it’s a bit heavy with all 20g of weight installed. It’s nice to have that customization option. Swappable right-side grips are a cool idea and use of magnets are a great way to ensure durability over something like a clip.

Build quality of the mouse seems pretty solid and I’m very impressed with the button action. Very satisfying but sufficiently quiet click.

Standard micro USB charging and ability to use the mouse while charging is a huge plus. I’ve had no issues with making it a full day of gaming with the battery, so this may not be an issue overall.

Gamdias software for this mouse isn’t great. Also, you have to pick a different product to download the software as they haven’t added the Hera software to the options for the Hades on their own website.

UPDATE: The Gamdias software is 100% to blame for the problems with this mouse and I still take one egg off for that. I resolved the issues with this by setting the polling rate of the mouse in the software to 120mHz Any other setting will cause juttering with the M1 Hades and will result in a bad day at the slopes.

SCRAP WHAT YOU SEE BELOW THIS HAPPENS IF YOU'RE SETTINGS ARE WRONG IN THE SOFTWARE:

Unfortunately, with all the upsides of design, this mouse isn’t good to use. The sensor or radio seems to have a major issue with updating the cursor in real-time. Therefore, the cursor skips across the screen when you move it too quickly. I’ve compared this to all the mouses I can find along with swapping it to different computers. Same problem. The one I have is either clearly defective, or it’s just a garbage sensor or transmitter/receiver

UPDATE: Shout out to Gamdias. Fix. The. Software. I shouldn't be able to install this software on my machine and it, by default, change the polling rate in the config to make the mouse completely unusable. Please fix this.

Resolving this issue has made the mouse just work like I'd expect a mouse in this price point to work.

This mouse would be absolutely great…..if it worked properly. However, this particular one that I received does not.

I really wanted to like it. Perhaps I will if they resolve these ghosting/delay/skipping issues with the cursor tracking

TOP CRITICAL REVIEW
Nice mouse with a few foibles.

Nicely fitted for my hand size
Good tracking
Pretty lights
Removable weights
Adjustable finger rest

Lighting Setup Software
Limited lighting effects
Price point is a little high for the features available

As a simple mouse the Hades M1 is pretty good, tight tracking, easy surface movement, good hand fit. It works well out of the box with wireless and USB connections. The incorporation of 4x 5g removable weights is great, I use the mouse with all of them removed. Meeces are very personal things though and what works for me wont for you. The exchangeable finger rest is also a neat touch, again to allow individual customization for optimal usage rather than just prettification. RGB lights, well they are there and you can change how they appear but the Hera software is less friendly and less intuitive than CUE. In fact installing the Hera software and getting it to work is a challenge in itself. I found the best option was to load the stand alone version as once the lighting is setup it no longer needs the software. Hera 2.8.2 portable in case you have issues. The range of effects within Hera, given the price point of this mouse, is somewhat disappointing and if RGB is important to you it may be better for your bling to look at other mice. Given all these points I feel giving 4 eggs would be misleading and so 3 eggs for this item.
