Dell Precision 5810 Workstation E5-2650v3 Ten Core 2.3Ghz 16GB 1TB SSD M2000 Win 10 Pre-Install

Pros: This thing can compete with a lot of modern hardware at probably half the price, and has room for upgrades (CPU, memory, and plenty of room for storage). It's perfect for my work and only came out of warranty last year. For a big workstation, it is surprisingly silent. Linux installed without a hitch and `make -j20` compiles Emacs in 4 minutes flat. For a coder, it's perfect especially when you can use all the cores.

Cons: - You somehow pay for a Win10 license.
- I wish they'd offer an entry level 4k GPU option, because the NVS310 is in storage, replaced by a cheap GTX1030 which is what I need for my 4k screen and plenty for "workstation" (coding) activities.

Overall Review: Machine got shipped really quickly, looked like you'd expect from a refurbished machine: some scratches but spotlessly clean everywhere. I'm happy.

Pros: CPU was actually a 12 core 2680

Cons: HDD is EXTREMELY slow --- almost unusable! I'm talking <2 MB/s. there's something really messed up about this configuration! I took it upon myself to order a new SATA3 SSD which I will use to try and make a disc image, but they really shouldn't be shipping this with a misconfigured storage device.

Overall Review: good price but not configured correctly. do not buy unless you are experienced with reconfiguring PCs
