-Crisp, powerful sound.
-Single USB for audio and mic
-Haptic feedback that adds to immersion in games/music
-Solid construction
-Comfortable enough for long sessions
-If you turn the haptics all the way up it can be disorienting with intense scenes or music.
-A little warm on the ears. Not terrible but not as cool as I would like.
-iCue software is required to access all functions so obviously I don't have all functions because I will not download another company's invasive software. I already have Logitech, NZXT, and Razer. It works fine without it you just can't save profiles and you have to change the audio settings through windows but thats fine with me.
I'm pretty happy with this purchase. Wasn't really looking for headphones but saw these and it interested me. I'm pretty happy I did. They sound really good and the haptics actually add to my experience quite a bit. You feel impacts in games and bass kicks in music. It can be a bit overwhelming if your sensitive to vibrations because you basically have two metal rings jumping around on your ears. It's not just a vibrating motor though it's actual haptic feedback meaning it can give just one kick at a time for something like a gunshot or it can rumble for something like a car engine and everything in between. Luckily the haptic strength is as easily accessible as the volume. You can turn it all the way off if you'd prefer as well. Overall they're solid for the price range with the coupon code. I don't know if I would have bought them at full retail price though just because I don't like paying over $100 for any peripheral. I have, but I don't like it.
-The build quality is nice. No creaking plastic sounds when messing with it.
-The ability to vibrate is somewhat cool.
-The usb connection fits snugly in my pc and doesn't disconnect when moving around.
-The audio sounds kind of muddy.
-The microphone that you plug into the headset is awkward having in your field of view when not in use, and unpluging the microphone leaves it prone to getting lost due to its smaller relative size.
-The pressure it placed on either side of my head was a little too much and gives me a 1/10 headache, though your millage may vary as I'm use to fairly loose headsets.
-Your ears will be sweaty even after only a few minutes of use.
-The cable being non-modular recuces potential longevity of the headset if the cable gets damaged from bending and you want to replace it.
Nothing terrible, but the cons outweigh the pros. Would not reccomend.
As an alternative, I think the SHP9500 are way more comfortable, with better sound quality, and for aroud the same price. Would just need to buy a suplimental microphone if you need one.
