Works flawlessly

Runs at 1866 with X.M.P. profile
System recognizes 64GB - runs flawlessly

Getting 1866 wasn't clear

Using this with the following specs...
MB: ASUS Sabertooth x79
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW+ 4GB
CPU: Intel i7-3820
PSU: ProSeries 850W XXX Edition Semi Modular (Silver)

Out of the box, it was running at 1333, but once I figured out how to manage ASUS Bios, discovered the X.M.P. Profile, this changed the settings to 1866.

One more thing to point out, I'm also using a 256GB SSD for my C: (running Windows 7 x64 Pro), and after a clean install, about 140 GB was used. File paging uses 1.5xRAM for a paging file (so that's about 96GB), and hibernate file was using approximately 40-50 GB. So disabling hibernate and reducing the page file to about 4GB cleared up about 135GB.

There's info out there about this, but it wasn't obvious (to me) at first.

TOP CRITICAL REVIEW
Nice product - Not great support

In the past Corsair was a quality product

My first mistake was assuming Corsair quality was how it always has been... I got a bad set out of the box and ran with it without testing (that old saying about assume always seems to apply)....

after tons of bizarre issues I tossed the system into Memtest and found hundreds of errors on 3 out of the 8 sticks....

Contacted Corsair support - held until the system forced me into leaving a voice mail... no return call no return contact.... tried again the next day since their support hours are M-F 7:30am-5:30pm PDT only and held until I got the voicemail again... left another message and got no return call

Opened an RMA ticket online and paid my $480 advance replacement charge on Thursday night, they shipped UPS 3 Day Select on Monday... got the new memory in but it had a small issue... tried contacting Corsair support and after holding for a while was dumped into a voicemail again....

I resolved the issue myself but am still left with a bad taste in my mouth of no follow up whatsoever by Corsair... this company used to have rock solid support...

Don't assume the product will be fine... run your Memtest on it for a day or so to be sure and save yourself the hassles of dealing with RMAs with Corsair not to mention save yourself the shipping charges....
