I bought this case in October of 2009. It's built like a tank, has ample cooling, and the handles on top are a plus. I have multiple desktop PC's in my home and I blow them out on a regular basis. The Storm Scout is by far the easiest to carry. Contrary to the troubles some others have had with this case, mine has worked perfectly from day one. All switches, fans, et cetera, work as expected.
Weight. This case is heavy, but that is to be expected with any steel case so please don't consider this to be a complaint.
Although the included fans provide ample cooling, they are a wee bit loud. I replaced them all with slower rpm, low noise fans. In addition, I mounted a fan on one of the side panel mounts in order to blow cool air directly toward my video card. Something to consider: My video card, a GeForce GTX 560 Ti, barely fits. If you're going to install a mid- to high-end video card, make sure it will fit!
The case itself is good... it's a piece of aluminum. Looks good, nice powder coat.
CM customer service is horrific. Both LED fans failed and after submitting 2 eRMA's for each fan I decided to email on the status. Same day reply and the rep indicated the eRMA was processed and should be shipped within 24 hours. 2 weeks later (after no package) I decided to chat with Marvin (CM rep.) and he indicated (once again) that the fans should ship within 24 hours. Then after another two weeks I emailed Marvin all my correspondence asking him to look into the matter only to get no reply this time. Count it up... 1st eRMA Dec~15, 2nd eRMA ~Jan 5, 1st email ~Jan 13, 2nd live chat ~Jan 31, final email ~feb 14 and no reply!
Why have eRMA if CM doesn't honor the requests? Anyway, I know they're just fans... but still... it's the customer service. Got some 140mm (rival brand) replacement fans off NewEgg with a great $10 rebate on each one.
