Well all my techy friends said noooo dont get this little dinky cpu. You need to get a 200-300$ cpu for your gaming rig. I said no, and bought this cpu. It is amazingly fast and runs aion crysis etc all the newer high end games with ease. I had an instance of AION, FFXI, and counter strike source and had no lag in the games. Games are more dependant on your GPU anyway. Anyways 5 eggs, this is an amazingly fast cpu for 60$ and with free shipping its a steal.
It didnt come with a $1,000,000 Check inside. Darn it.
If your wondering about getting thermal paste etc. THe heatsink and fan that comes with this cpu has it already applied to the heatsink bottom, not the cpu.
I'm sure it would be great if it worked.
It didn't work.
I took my old proc out and installed this one, It wouldn't even go to the startup screen. After a few tried with no success I put old proc back in. It booted in just a few seconds! Newegg has helped me with this in the past, hopefully they can again. Im sure if I get another it will work.
