Full disclosure, had to contact Orico to get a replacement, works like a charm now. After my first one borked on me Orico sent me a second one to try reading a hard drive and it worked as it says it should on the tin. The enclosure feels sturdy and the heatsink and thermal pad have a good amount of chunk to ensure good heat dissipation. I didn't do much besides format and delete a partition but it's got some solid build quality.
Its a good size for a computer table. Grips well to table, and has a slick surface letting the mouse glide but still stop quickly. The logo is really subtle so it wont be a distraction. With the G mouse teflon feet its a perfect match.
Operated well above USB 2.0 speed when using a 10x memory card Compact and light
eSATA connection has a natural ability to boot, to convey SMART data, and achieve an as-if internal drive status. It's a pity that eSATA enclosures are becoming rare. Of the eSATA enclosures I've used -- including Fantec, Delock, Conrad, Raidsonic, Orico, AKiTio -- the NexStar has the best build quality and the best compatibility with a variety of HDDs, along with maximum performance.
These frames work with the 1.5 tera byte seagates, just bigger than 750g did no exist when manual was writen.
Simple Installation. Comes with a screwdriver and a screw. Truly Plug & Play with Windows 10 if your Motherboard already has support for NVMe. Does not even look for a driver, it just works. Great way to add fast NVMe drives.

allow me to milk another few years out of my old 1080p that has a vga for the more modern boards.
cleans up conections nicely
Soft materials that dont leave a sort of rug burn.
This works beautifully for plugging a USB-C cable into a USB-A power adapter. It let me continue using my in-wall power extender (4 outlets + 4 USB power outlets, 3 USB-A but only 1 USB-C) when I suddenly had 2 devices that needed to charge using USB-C. Used this adapter to plug my new USB-C phone into one of the USB-A power outlets and all is still good! (Can't say the same for the USB-C to USB-A adapters from another vendor - the Hannord ones work great, but the ones from the other vendor charged exactly 1% overnight.)
Great for carrying 2.5 inch drives. Tested on Windows and Linux, gets advertised USB3 speeds.
