Works perfectly. Plugged it in, plugged in the power, turned on the PC, booted it up, and Win7 recognized it and installed the drivers. Didn't have to do anything. Started using my multichannel DAC fed from it immediately. <br><br>Has a very silent background when listening to music using my outboard firewire DAC. Very nice. Seems extremely stable. No dropouts or strange sounds. Listening to Pink Floyd Momentary Lapse of Reason "Dogs of War" right now. <br><br>This is not a sound card. <br><br>But you can feed a fire-wire sound-card or workstation DAW or DAC with this fire-wire unit. It has a TI chipset too which is very good for some picky DAW's. My Echo Audiofire 8 isn't picky, but I got this one just in case I ever needed the superior TI chipsets. <br><br>Works great! Sounds great! Great value. Unit felt decently built too. Just make sure to plug the power into the unit before you attempt to power the PC on as you could burn out the power regulators on the board or burn out your PCI-E slot.

6 ports non raid sata3 doesn't slow boot time plug and play (auto gave me 2020 driver) heatsink on chip

Easy to install. Adds USB 3.0 technology to older systems.

Easy to install Came with the small screwdriver Very reliable, been using for nine months now.

Looks to be well made with the SATA ports attached solidly to the card (I purchased a few from other manf. in the past where the SATA ports broke or became loose and I had to super-glue them back on). Easy install: -- driver support as far back as kernel 4.18.16-300.fc29.x86_64, so happy about that! -- came with power and SATA cables - so it's a complete package for the price.

This board installed quickly and was automatically configured by Windows 11. All standard usb ports are occupied and function nominally. Have not used USB-C ports yet but will soon and expect the same result.

It works fr exactly what I needed. A PCIe card to host a m.2 at PCIe4.0 x4, I got 2.6gbs transfer speeds between this card and the cpu m.2. I will get more if needed. There is probably better cards for this but for the price, can not beat it. This is a true review, not AI, Steve
