Super easy set-up! Plugged in and running in about 10 minutes Versatility

- Fast - Easy to open and install drive - very geek chic

So easy to use

Hot-Swap capability, fast communication, ease of use

-Great if you have spare m.2 chips that you want to access. -Small footprint means you can place it almost anywhere -Useful for backing up information with its quick read/write speed

- Youre a man with his own backup software, probably Acronis if you're over the age of 20.... You don't need fancy features on your hardware as you have all the controls in software. -StarTech is best tech. I coulda bought Rosewill, but then I'd have to see their face of disgust. Not happening.

It is well made, compact, made of metal for good heat dissipation, and has a fan that can be turned on/off when needed. I do music production and like to turn of the fan when in mix/mastering. The noise of fan is not much but I rather have that control. I put two 16tb hard drives and it is fast. I can't test if the data transfer speeds are as advertised but I am satisfied with the product.

Star Tech always quality products. With USB 3.1 gen 2 & eSATA ports plenty speed versatility.

Performs well just as expected very fast right speeds

the results like having a new computer, just great!

I use the docking station to move from a PC with 6 drives to a iMac 5k. To my surprise all the PC drives 3T and 4T were instantly available on the mac as well as all the files and photos! I can have both mac and pc drives in the doing station at the same time. I can pop in the drives I need when I need them. What a difference in transferring from a mac to PC which I did 3 months ago. That was an experience that no one should have to undergo!

I am an audio professional needing many TB of hot-swappable space for my work. I have tried and sent back several dual dock models, some highly rated and more expensive, that didn't meet my needs. For one, I don't want a dock that puts drives to sleep after a period of inactivity. I want my drives spinning as long as power is applied. This one does that. For two, I want a dock with a robust power supply that will handle 8GB drives This one comes with a 3A supply, which is enough. Also, I don't need some off-line cloning function or SD card reader or USB hub or whatever. I just want a simple dock. I have used this in both the eSATA and USB3 modes and it works properly. Speed is about the same with either.
