Easy packaging, arrived on time

Works great. Good for backup device.

I've always found WD more reliable than the main competitor. The Red Plus drives - 8TB and up - are free of the horrible SMR format problem, and I appreciate NewEgg stating "CMR" right in the product description. This was the third 8TB Red Plus purchased for my Synology NAS box. It passed a full surface scan and is now working properly... and very quietly. Nothing more to say, after a couple of weeks steady use. It is worth noting that, unlike drives I've purchased from other (!) online sources, this WD Red Plus drive came properly packaged: in a box with spacers maintaining airspace around the unit. As a bonus, NewEgg also had the best price.

Already using same product hence bought a new similar model

very easy install and extremely fast delivery

Great service by Newegg, very professional. 10 Stars

Got it running on my synology for plex media!! Running great!! Gets a bit loud but I'm use to it.

Good performance under stress

Easy setup and easy copying

Sale Price was great These are good drives Own many seagate drive with no issues

I originally ordered this from Amz for my NAS server but it arrived with bad sectors. I returned that one and changed to this one and it arrived and worked perfectly. Not only did it work flawlessly but it arrived a week earlier. Ill be ordering more of these as my funds allow.

8tb hard drive that works

-Transfer rates are good - average a little over 200MB/s, drive to drive on the same LSI HBA on Unraid if it matters. -Temperature is good - average 30C in a 20C room during continuous transfer of files, about the same as a 6TB (WD6003FFBX), and about 5C lower than a 10TB (WD102KFBX). Idle temp is ~26C. This drive and comparables are in the same server/array. - Noise is relatively low, about the same as a 6TB and noticeably more quiet than the 10TB. - Cost per TB is good when on sale, very close to the largest 18-22TB rate.

Good size for a NAS

Great price for a massive amount of disk space. This is the second unit I've bought. This one is quiet as it should be ... does not have the noise problem that the first had

These drives provide high density capacity in a standard 3.5 inch HDD footprint. The cost per T is around the same as lower capacity desktop drives. The MTBF indicates these drives should last many years. They are pretty quiet also...and run fairly cool.

240+MiB/s sequential write speed while connected to a USB3 dock. Came very well packaged.
