Not sure this is the same drive, but it was a WD 500 GB SATA 6.0/s 3.5 I bought before Christmas and it was bad, but WD did a good quick replacement on it. I am up and running good now.

Good size and quiet.

The new Barracuda drives are wicked fast. Very slim design compared to Hitachi, WD, and a couple others.

FAST for a platter drive. 128MB Cache. Durable. Reliable.

Great drives. Ordered 8 and all 8 are working perfectly. They are fully compatible with the Synology Nas DS720+ Dual Bay Drives. I contacted Synology Techs and they recommended these drives even though they are no on the compatibly list. Synology says these are the max drive size for the DS720+ drives.

Purchased 312 of these drives and burned them in for a month before a project. After thrashing the drives for a solid month and then lots of data being written for 3 weeks straight, we only had 1 drive die (during the burn in). I'd say that's a pretty good rate. We put them in Areca 8050T3-12 units.

Good Price Good Storage Fast SATA power and cable connection 6.0 Gb/s

works well so far . drive is truly new with 0 hrs

5-year warranty SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) Enterprise-class with RAID support Largest drive available Hitachi products are valuable enough that Western Digital moved to acquire them back in March. The deal is still pending EU approval. Some would consider this a 'Con'... really it's an 'Other Thought' that wouldn't fit : )

18tb of storage is great

I purchased 3 of the 18TB IronWolf Pro drives and configured them in a RAID 5 array using a Megaraid LSI SAS 9260-8i HBA. They were all recognized and easy to setup. No issues. Very fast read and write speeds compared to the 8TB 5400 RPM drives I replaced.

I just bought the 16TB drive and have had a 14TB drive for a couple years. No issues so far at all.

very easy to install has worked without issue has been quiet in operation

-Fast shipping -Works out of the box -New Product -Silent operation (Can't understand what other buyers are talking about) -Reads and writes at 215MB/Sec vs s similar capacity Western Digital Green HDD that only reads and writes up to 100MB/s. Nothing compared to my Samsung 970 Evo NVME SSD that reads and Writes at 2,000+MB/s but so far solid, silent and simple to install.

Rock Solid traditional hard drive with nice size cache and good response times.
