In Desktop External Hard Drives

The drive has a lot of space and is a good value in that respect. It's easy to set up and use like any external drive.

Fast delivery. Easy setup the hard drive and it works well.

Large, inexpensive, does not use WD proprietary hardware encryption (like the My Book series), passed initial diagnostics with flying colors, operating fine (but I've only had it for a couple of weeks so far).

Plug and play. Worked perfectly with the PS5

I seem to always have good luck with Western Digital drives (mostly "black" models). Some of the desktop hard drives do get warm, so I use a external fan to add some "extra" cooling...and it seems to work quite well. You can tell by the attached image that certain drive models run a little warmer that others. This drive does sit closer to the fan than other drives, and still gets warm. The read speed could be better, but I got this drive mainly for storage space and a place to "organize" files. Over all a great drive, connected to Windows without any effort (plug and play). Hardest part was finding a place to put it with all my other drives ;)

high capacity cmr hdd

Easy to set up and use, fast.

-The casing is attractive and gives the product a feeling of higher quality than a standard enclosure. -Cooling appears to be more than adequate. A cool drive is a happy drive! -Very good value. This 4TB unit replaces a 3TB drive and enclosure that were cobbled together for the same price. -It's quiet enough that you do not hear it over the audible hisses and hums of everything else in the media cabinet.

-Extra power supply -It has a stand -quite -extra USB charging cables

Its fast, transfer from ssd to mybook6tb avg 190mb/s , mybook6tb to ssd avg 1000mb/s. Ive not heard the loudness i read about in so many reviews. Its nice looking, seems like its well ventilated, whats more to say, only time will tell.

Great price. Great value. Western Digital reliable name in hardware.

Insanely fast! I shucked this drive and installed in my system its a HGST 12TB For basic file transfers and downloads this drive awesome.

I'm not into the third generation of Buffalo DriveStations. I use them in fours for backups; two alternating and two alternating off-site. I alternate two on-site so that if there's a drive failure, I'll still have a relatively recent backup. That has never happened with DriveStations. I've bought new DriveStations because, when I get a new computer, it inevitably has a larger disk. The Axis Velocity drives are nearly silent (you can hear disk seeks sometimes) and take full advantage of USB 3.0. With the two drives I just bought, I backed up 257 GB in less than 90 minutes per drive, using AES encryption, which slowed the process.

Drive is large enough to store large photo files. Also to consolidate multiple smaller drives.
