Cheapest 20tb+ external HD on the market per tb. Large storage size. Small physical size.

Large Capacity Very Low Priced Easy Usage Biggest Drive I've Ever Seen, like an old 5.1/4 floppy

Can be used right out of the box for Windows 10 systems. No software installed on the drive, so its entire capacity can be used for data

Simple and easy connectivity...plug and play. Power, USB, it's there.

The drive comes formatted with a NTFS file system which is great for Windows users. As a Linux user and a believer in creating encrypted partitions using cryptsetup I have found this drive to be able to take the abuse of a bad block check which took 13 hours and 37 minutes. First I created my partition table using gdisk. The first partition is a 5M partition ext2 partition for storing an encrypted password file. The second partition is the encrypted backup partition. Commands: cryptsetup -v luksFormat /dev/sdd2 You should at this point edit /etc/crypttab for your new encrypted partition utilizing the UUID designated by cryptsetup. backup UUID=???????????-????-????-????-???????????? none nofail, noauto Also you should put the pass phrase of your encrypted partition into your encrypted password file or password safe. cryptsetup open /dev/sdd2 backup mke2fs -c -t ext4 -b 2048 -i 2048 -L Backup -j -m 0.1 /dev/mapper/backup The -c checks for any bad blocks. This is a very slow operation but being a paranoid old man I have learned from experience that you should always check for bad blocks on any new drive. Thus the 13 hours and 37 minutes was not a waste of time.

great price for this monster sized hard drive fast external at 7200 rpm

I bought this product to hold my collosal library of Steam Games. Easy to setup, easy to use - I haven't noticed any latency at all when trying to load games. The best part is, if I want to use my steam games on another PC, I can just bring the drive with me!

lots of space

-easy installation -includes backup software -password protection

I cannot complain for the price at Newegg basically compensates for the intermitent noise running a tad hot. But I'm confident it will be fine. Best deal I've got for a HD. I shopped around and Newegg was by far the best deal and had it in stock. Not even you know who had it in stock.

WD My Book working great right now. I've been doing an extensive backup of my computer for a refresh Windows install. With so many files and directories somehow mislocated all over my system, it's great to have the large external drive to just copy whole folders and subfolders over to try to organize later. I have yet to havee one probelm. Thank you!

Quiet, fast, and holds an excellent amount of data. RGB is cool to sync with razer products but not why I bought it

- Fast transfer speeds for and HDD (~215 MB/s) - Ample space for ample libraries (Can store as much as 2,564 DVD DL or 872 single layer BD-R) - Easy Setup (Literally plug and play)

Easy to connect, came with all the cables, pretty quiet even during initial backup of 100s of gigs, no complaints
