I required external storage for home use, and it had to be of a capacity that could handle multiple virtual machines, have rapid retrieval and response times, and not quickly running low on space. I saw the WD My Book 6TB drive on Newegg and decided to purchase it. Another online seller I regularly use had larger capacity drives priced less but had major delivery issues after purchasing, so I had to obtain a refund three times. With Newegg I received the product within the delivery time and without issue. The drive works fine, operates quietly, and serves my external storage needs.

This 14TB external hard drive was very easy to setup, just plug and play. The delivery arrived quickly, and the hard drive worked right out of the box.

This drive is very fast. I'm not sure why, but it is faster than my internal 7200 rpm drive when moving data, hashing files, etc even though this is a 5400 rpm drive. It is also fairly quiet. When waking it might "rumble" a bit (not sure why this is as my other drives don't do it, perhaps the motor spinning up?), but otherwise it is barely noticeable. As quiet or quieter than my other desktop external drives.

I'm very happy with this. I was not thrilled with the HP Pavilion (ryzen, AERIS) Win10 system I got until I added this WE Elements drive. Everything is working SO much better, now. When I need more storage, I'll be buying this brand/style, and it will be through newegg. Really a good one.

I'm not into the third generation of Buffalo DriveStations. I use them in fours for backups; two alternating and two alternating off-site. I alternate two on-site so that if there's a drive failure, I'll still have a relatively recent backup. That has never happened with DriveStations. I've bought new DriveStations because, when I get a new computer, it inevitably has a larger disk. The Axis Velocity drives are nearly silent (you can hear disk seeks sometimes) and take full advantage of USB 3.0. With the two drives I just bought, I backed up 257 GB in less than 90 minutes per drive, using AES encryption, which slowed the process.

I bought this product to hold my collosal library of Steam Games. Easy to setup, easy to use - I haven't noticed any latency at all when trying to load games. The best part is, if I want to use my steam games on another PC, I can just bring the drive with me!

Super-fast shipping. This new product was plug and play right out of the box. Took me 5 minutes from box to fully loading Chia plots. I have many of these storage devices and not one has ever failed, all running strong. Elements storage devices are well made, and they do not fall asleep. Perfect storage plots for Chia. First time a customer did a follow-up to see if product arrive and if I was satisfied. I give this seller 5 Stars plus! I will buy from them again.
