I have just installed it, so this review may be updated later. A full format took just under 4 hours. Read/write numbers were consistent throughout the initialization. There was no slow down. It is not fast drive. I've a Samsung 850 EVO 250GB. This MS30 2TB performs as well, in terms of read/write speed. Be aware, the MS30 is a dramless drive, hence unsuitable for your operating system. For gaming, look no further, oh, yeah! Caveat: since it is dramless, and the factory OverProvisioning, if there is any, is negligible. So, one must do one's own OP. OverProvisioning (for those who don't know) is dedicating a portion of the SSD to unused space. OP extends the life of the life of the drive. It is required on all SSDs. The EVO850 comes with factory OP, yet I must leave at least 50-60GB free Or 2 things happen: the drive slows to a crawl and the lifespan has been shortened. For this MS30 2TB, I shrank the 1.907TB partition by 400GB, leaving ~1.500TB of usable storage. This could be more or less, according to your risk tolerance and pocket book. This partitioning and shrinking must be done when the drive is Fresh Out the Box; before it is used. I've only had it for a day, but it seems pretty good. I bought it to fit in a Satechi Mac Mini M4 stand/enclosure. The speed of the SSD is limited by the enclosure (10 Gbs), so I can't say if it performs as fast as advertised. But the price is good and I know I'll have the extra speed if I put it in a faster enclosure.
