The frame's latch mechanism is well made and its hook engages with a precisely formed pocket that's milled into the inside of the housing. Performance: This adapter worked flawlessly for the single task I bought it for; to copy the user files of a failing laptop onto another storage medium. Tip: Keep your eyes open when opening the carton. The retaining screw and nut for the SSD's PCB are in a very small envelope.

This MAIWO 2-disk unit is a marvel of ingenious packaging - the most compact 2-HDD RAID box I have ever seen. I was able to set up RAID 1 easily with a matched pair of 14 Tb disks. Positive LED indication of RAID status on the box was a plus. Moved already about 9 Tb of data to it with no issues.
