This is a very nice case for a spare m.2 to had. Worked great right out of the box. And a big plus, it was very inexpensive. Would recommend for a very fast alternative to external storage.

Hot Swap works great, quick read on HDD and SSD

The structure is solid and you can tell it will do a good job protecting what is inside. The only drives I have used in it so far have run at the speed they were rated to. All I can say is that this product does everything that it was designed to.

eSATA connection has a natural ability to boot, to convey SMART data, and achieve an as-if internal drive status. It's a pity that eSATA enclosures are becoming rare. Of the eSATA enclosures I've used -- including Fantec, Delock, Conrad, Raidsonic, Orico, AKiTio -- the NexStar has the best build quality and the best compatibility with a variety of HDDs, along with maximum performance.

Hot-Swap capability, fast communication, ease of use

I have several of these, and they work great! Not only for testing old hard drives/SSD's, they're also useful for data rescue and on my SO's desktop I'm using one for a time machine backup. The transparent feature and being able to see inside is especially useful for this old fogey who while browsing through his junkbox can't remember which enclosures have drives in them, and which are empty.

Works good so far. Love the rubber case incase it drops. Like the concept of the screw less design.

Fast throughput (depends on SSD, of course). Nice quality cables. No screws to loose. Easy to assemble. Works with Linux.
