-It's fast for large transfers. -It was easy to put together, even includes a tiny medium-quality screwdriver and an extra screw. -Backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 3.0 when paired with a USB-A to micro usb-3B cable. -Firmware is VERY easy to update. Just run the firmware installer, safe-disconnect(eject) the SSD wait a second then reconnect. Using ---> USB 3.0 <--- not 3.1 my CDM at 500MBx2 runs. Using a Western Digital Blue 250GB SSD. If i was using a usb 3.1 port, i'd be seeing even higher speeds. (Using a USB-A to Micro USB-3B 6" cable) Sequential Read (Q= 32,T= 1) : 431.836 MB/s (USB 3.0, not 3.1) Sequential Write (Q= 32,T= 1) : 433.479 MB/s Random Read 4KiB (Q= 32,T= 1) : 33.134 MB/s [ 8089.4 IOPS] Random Write 4KiB (Q= 32,T= 1) : 29.542 MB/s [ 7212.4 IOPS] Sequential Read (T= 1) : 338.325 MB/s Sequential Write (T= 1) : 342.666 MB/s Random Read 4KiB (Q= 1,T= 1) : 19.125 MB/s [ 4669.2 IOPS] Random Write 4KiB (Q= 1,T= 1) : 23.092 MB/s [ 5637.7 IOPS]

My example of the product is exactly as pictured, and included spares of what I carelessly lost on assembly. Package provided a proper screwdriver and 4 of the needed 2 nano-screws, of which I still have one spare. My SSD was of the largest board size, and I didn't try to store the two other board retention plugs in the provided holes, so don't know if they would allow proper assembly with the extras in their locations, but can say the one used and the screws and caps all were just right. Instructions include the procedure for first operation of a new SSD. A welcome courtesy to ease a new tech into the process. Remembered too late, but a couple of tricks could have saved losing one of the screws. (It might still be in my beard.) A bit of molding wax on the screwdriver tip before fitting it to the screw, or a (very) small magnet on the screwdriver shaft will help hold the screw while trying to hit the holes.

So easy to use

Super easy set-up! Plugged in and running in about 10 minutes Versatility

I ran some speed tests, and this device blew away the other HDD docking stations I purchased from NewEgg. It looks very nice on my desk When I need another, I'll buy this one again

light weight

This MAIWO 2-disk unit is a marvel of ingenious packaging - the most compact 2-HDD RAID box I have ever seen. I was able to set up RAID 1 easily with a matched pair of 14 Tb disks. Positive LED indication of RAID status on the box was a plus. Moved already about 9 Tb of data to it with no issues.

It is well made, compact, made of metal for good heat dissipation, and has a fan that can be turned on/off when needed. I do music production and like to turn of the fan when in mix/mastering. The noise of fan is not much but I rather have that control. I put two 16tb hard drives and it is fast. I can't test if the data transfer speeds are as advertised but I am satisfied with the product.

Large Capacity E-Z Peezy Installation Nice USB C port install

Easily slides open incest m.2 card, it comes with tools to screws to mount. If u are in a bind you don't need to totally assemble for it to work! But for safety please mount! Made my old M.2 stick into a big memory stick, it is useful again!

I'm using fire port , using it for back ups for computers, plug it in and bang it reading , nice and small and easily hidden , love it .

Perform as advertised if tested on a real 20Gbps USB-C 3.2 Gen2 !!! ;-))) Tested with a Crucial CT1000P1SSD8 M2 NVME SSD Read 1857MB/s !! Very good quality short cable included (2) Tools for assembly included
