Used this to add NVME to a 2015 era PC. The design looks simple but is actually quite complex, with curved traces to help from wave reflection / standing waves. The only active circuits appear to be a power supply. No driver needed. This also includes a half height back plate adapter if you need that.

Having had poor results with IDE to SATA converters in the past, I was skeptical about this one. However, this adapter really works! Installation was easy for Vista with no problems. Packaging included a cable adapter which made it possible to use this adapter even if you had no SATA connectors on your Power Supply. I have been running a SATA Hdd for over a month with no problems. My system was an older Dell Dimension 2400 with no SATA connectors on the motherboard and no power supply SATA connectors.

As pictured in top crystal disk mark, it's hitting full pcie 4.0 speeds. Bottom picture is a 970 evo plus at pcie 3.0. Was getting about 1-2μs less latency than my top slot adapter card and 20-30 MB/s faster Q1T1 RND4k reads.
