Nice mobo, perfect choice for the 12700k. Anything else would be overkill.
Good value for the money. Lots of USB ports. Sufficient number of fan and sata connections.
avantage il prend les 2 processeur 12 et 13 IIème génération
- Easy to set-up - Clear instructions - Looks great - Top notch performance - RGB - Hyper M2 attachment - DDR5 - Push button GPU release - Lots of USB slots
Happy with it everything working great. Happy with my item I brought. Will by more in the future
I bought my first top of the line ASUS enthusiast board in 2013, a Maximus V, and then upgraded to a Maximus X 5 years later with an 8700K (A great combo!). For 2023 it's the ASUS Strix z790-E, with a 13700K (an amazing CPU price performance / save $200 over the 13900K option). If you are spending this kind of $$$ on a motherboard, you need to know what you are getting. Negative reviews always seem to come from uninformed buyers IMHO. This is an excellent board! You need to understand the PCIE lane bifurcation with these boards and know how it works. For example! The PCIEX16_1 slot shares 16 lanes with the M.2_1 slot. If you populate the M.2_1 slot, you will get X8 lanes for your GPU (no way around it and you give up 4 lanes, X8 to the GPU and X4 to the M.2_1 slot). Not a big deal really, but take that into account. There are 20 PCIE lanes for the CPU, the shared 16 and 4 more for M.2_2. So you have two M.2 slots using direct cpu PCIE lanes. 24 more lanes for the chipset, and 8 between the chipset and the cpu. So all those other lanes are for the other M.2 slots and the USB I/O. You won't be disappointed with this board if you have the budget for it. Honestly, I think it's the better value than the Hero. The Hero has the thunderbolt built into the motherboad and comes with the ASUS Hyper card for adding more M.2 storage. However, I just wouldn't use it for my needs... mostly gaming and lighter work loads. There are cases where you maximize storage and speed there over the GPU. Content creation potentially. With this board, if you need that you can buy the Hyper drive card and get really close to the Hero setup. I just didn't need the extra storage, so why spend more $$ for Hero. Plus I like the PCIE lane bifurcation on the z790-E. I paired this board with G.Skill 7200 MT/s 32 timing RAM and it works perfect under crazy load in OCCT at 7200 MT/s using the ASUS XMP Tweaked profile.
-No problems experienced during installation. -System connectors were in ideal locations for cable management. -XMP enabled with no memory errors. -Completed system performs to my expectation.
-Perfect motherboard at this price point -Instant 6 ghz with 13900k is a plus
After boot issues with a new AS Rock motherboard I purchased on sale. Lots of headaches. I stopped wasting my time and I purchased an ASUS board, which was super easy to install and works flawlessly.
My build is pretty humble, but there are lots of options for heavier PC builds - the M.2 slots have heatsinks covering them if you don't use them (but they're easy to remove), and there's a second 8 pin power connector for the CPU if you need it! The best part about the board is easily how accessible the SEVEN fan power slots are on the board. The power slots can be found at various spots across the board making it super easy to keep your cables organized and your case looking clean!
Its an Asus ROG Mobo Good price Supports 13th gen Intel CPUs
- Documentation is excellent - Board is well marked - Placement of components on the board is logical
On the less expensive side for z690 boards Lots of usb slots
- Mini Itx motherboard - Lga 1700 - DDR5 - Good heatsinks - Has everything a motherboard will need
Solid build quality at a great price
I have had good luck with ASRock - no problem boards over the years. I know this might be due to chance, but the combination of price and reliability has brought me back to the brand. The Z690 Phantom Gaming 4 board has worked as advertised and I really appreciated the BIOS page clearly recognizing the installed hardware after my first independent build. I happily saw my processor and M.2 model names on the screen. More importantly, I saw that a RAM card was not recognized immediately and I was able to reseat the RAM. Without this screen, I do not know when I would have become aware of the problem.
- Solid construction - Chipset maintains low temps - Included heatsink for nvme ssd - Great included wifi adapter (if you use wifi) - Been running 24/7 for a couple months with an i1200k and gtx 1090 in an mATX case -- no issues.
Paired this with an i5-12400, a Vetroo V5 cooler and 16G GSkill RAM. Works well and runs very cool. This is my wife's PC and she doesn't game so I can't comment on that how that feature might work.
This motherboard is better than msi competitors
- This board did recognize my DDR5 6400 upon initial boot (and original bios version), even loaded my XMP profile just fine.. for reference.. my ram is G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series DDR5 6400 - Less expensive than the other ASUS Boards.. - Gigabit 2.5 Lan Port - This board uses Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211, so it does support Bluetooth 5.3, unlike what the description says - First time using Armoury Crate software from ASUS which made installing all necessary drivers a breeze - highly recommended.
