This thing is so ingenious. using this one with a Samsung 970, can also use the thermal pad on this one. Last one I had my SSD chips were to thin and the clearance was to great for the thermal pad to make up the height difference. Solved by just buying some thicker thermal pads. This one though works perfectly. The heat spreader is running at 112F above the CPU? on the SSD and about 108F on the memory chips so the thermal pads are working.

I have a Lightscribe CD/DVD Burner that's 8 Years Old in Perfect Condition! I see now that these are extremely rare and they are expensive if you can find them. The USB connection is a Blessing!

Set up in a family member's computer as backup storage for the ssd in a m-atx case. Will be just as reliable as a 3.5" given all the dog hair and dander this thing is going to subjected to.

Quiet, fast, always recognized quickly

I required external storage for home use, and it had to be of a capacity that could handle multiple virtual machines, have rapid retrieval and response times, and not quickly running low on space. I saw the WD My Book 6TB drive on Newegg and decided to purchase it. Another online seller I regularly use had larger capacity drives priced less but had major delivery issues after purchasing, so I had to obtain a refund three times. With Newegg I received the product within the delivery time and without issue. The drive works fine, operates quietly, and serves my external storage needs.

I bought this product to hold my collosal library of Steam Games. Easy to setup, easy to use - I haven't noticed any latency at all when trying to load games. The best part is, if I want to use my steam games on another PC, I can just bring the drive with me!

Has a fan switch that can be turned on and off. There are times when the room has to be as silent as possible and other hard drive enclosures with automatic fans can be extremely noisy, this one you can turn the fan on and off as needed. Holds 4 drives Great for backup drive
