They're hard drives with lots of storage space Great price Shipped fast like normal for New egg

Just what I wanted.

Used to expand my NAS, arrived promptly and was well packaged. No complaints.

I bought this for backup storage for Pixel phone. It is a great product but not ideal for direct Android backup. -Lots of storage -Fast

- easy to install overall -20tb of space will set me up for years -sale price was 50% off

I bought two of the WD 2TB My Passport Portable Storage external hard drives in red. I plan to keep one at home and the other in my safe deposit box. The red color was more expensive, but it makes backing up files more fun to do! These drives are easy to use, and I did not install the software; I just plugged-and-played. These are the smallest external hard drives I've ever had. The shipment arrived quickly. Thank you!

- Fast transfer rates for HDD - Not excessively clicky - Consistent performance and good warrenty

- performance at least 50% better than comparable home-application hard drives - excellent (theoretical) MTBF specs, so reliability should be top-line - built for RAID performance - with a good backup system, a striped setup with two Datacenter Gold drives (RAID 0) achieved performance within 75%-80% of the speed of my Samsung SSD EVO 500GB (the OS drive).

- Tons of space - Fast - Extra warranty, extra duty cycle.

quiet and fast

I used this drive for a recent customer build. After installing the OS, I benchmarked it with Atto's disk benchmark tool. I was blown away by the sequential read and write speeds. The smaller file size transfers were nothing to write home about, but about half way through the test the transfer rate reached almost 200 mbs! Wow, this was the first drive that beat my previous favorite the Samsung F4 320gb. The seeks were very quiet too. This was in an Antec 300 case with just the power supply, cpu, and one case fan running.

Compatible

perfect for NAS. I don't really need the AI function in the drives they sit in a UNIFI protect set up. I have the 24TB one in my home protect set up and initially it was loud, but it has become more quite since it finished it originally set up. I have 8 of the 8TB drives with no issues. 2 are cold spares. when they go in I'll order 2 more. I take the drives that are out of warranty and typically put them in our 3rd tier backup NAS systems and they seem to live forever. Technically out of "service life" but that doesn't mean I take them offline, I stick them into a lower use environment to live out their days storing old accounting stuff. Nothing as exciting as VIDEO

18tb of storage is great
