I was very concerned if this unit was able to survive in bad weather. After it has gone through some rainy days, it is still working as normal. I feel much better it is truly waterproof.

I bought this because my television is on a different floor from my router. It was easy to setup, instructions were clear enough that even this old lady didn't have trouble. And best of all, it helped with my television reception.

This TP-Link TL-WA850RE has a nice modern look to it, unlike some bigger blockier devices still around. Plugged in anywhere in the home it doesn't create an eyesore. At 65', the max distance indoors in our home, bars on our tablet and laptop have risen from 2-3 to a solid 5. This is through 5 walls with multiple electronics between the extender and the wireless devices. Whether using the TL-WA850RE's ethernet or wireless connection the signal is just as strong. Outside the home, up to 30', these devices have risen from 0 to 3 bars using the extender. Passed 30' outside and the signal disappears. Setup is very easy. Once TL-WA850RE has connected to your router's signal it automatically prompted a setup page on our devices when we attempted to connect to the network.
