Plug 'n' play with 3rd party external enclosure I can't believe how far we've come in just the last 2-3 years in regards to availability, speeds, and reliability, plus even accessibility which makes it just the best recommendable upgrade anyone can do, whether it be for an older laptop needing a boost to speeds, or even as an addition to a gaming system as a 2ndary drive. I'm, however, using this as a nice everyday-carry item where I put all my larger files which transfer extremely fast, and batches of smaller files which transfer completely before you even have a chance to look down twice at your keyboard. FAST FAST FAST FAST. Like crazy fast. I was honestly not expecting this SSD to be as fast as it was. I didn't buy it to be my boot disk, but once I saw how fast it was compared to the 980 Pro, I swapped them. No real worries about heat or power draw of course. Just some good fast storage.

The write and read speeds are fantastic for the price point. Keeping it cool is not an issue. I was concerned about delivery time. But after it was shipped, it only took 3 days to get it. I am in the middle of the country so delivery times are affected by my location.
