Super fast. Gets very close to the 1050MB/s as advertised. Great for gaming on the go but must be connect to USB-C. Small and light, pocket size. Many AAA games that require 100+GB installs for storage can benefit from and sometimes demand the speeds of SSDs. The Crucial X9 will meet and satisfy the demand. Nowadays gaming storage libraries easily exceed 1 terabyte or more. The 2TB on the Crucial X9 is plenty of storage for on-the-go gaming, especially Steam libraries since they are easily transferable from one computer to another.
This product does work as advertised but I needed to buy a Thunderbolt 4 cable and plug it into the only USB-C Gen 4 2x2 port on my PC. On the front USB-C port is a Gen 3 port, I "only" get 1000MB/s read instead.
Rated up to 1050 MB/s (see other thoughts) Plug and play compatible with USB C devices (USB-A Adapter available separately) 3-year warranty Durable-Drop proof up to 7.5ft (according to manufacturer, not tested). Small footprint. Runs cool One-month free Adobe Acrobat Pro Plan included (requires registration) Acronis True Image included Available in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB capacities (usable storage will be less due to formatting)
As title says. Great product. Runs very well and at high speed. Now, make sure you have a Type-C port and also make sure your Motherboard supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 in order to gain from the 2000 MB/S. If it only supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 or below then it will run at a max speed of 1000 MB/S which is pretty fast, still. It also doesn't specify if it comes with a cable. Yes, a Type-C cable. Not a USB cable. So like I said you need a Type-C port.
Plug-n-play, no separate power brick required. Very fast with USB-C port. Amazingly compact for a drive of 4 TB size. Well made and good looking case design. Packaging is very sturdy.
Price Speed
Excellent capacity and size for a portable drive. Light as a feather but seems solid. Speeds are as advertised as long as you use only USB 3.2 Gen 2 or higher cables, adapters, and most importantly, USB 3.2 PC ports. Anything less will disappoint.
- 2Tb is reasonable for most usage today - Connect to a USB 3 port and it is faster than a speeding bullet :-) - Small Size literally fits in your shirt pocket
-This SSD is very small & easy to bring with you / throw in a bag - Extremely fast read & write speeds - These days with manufactures skimping on everything its nice Samsung includes multiple cables with this SSD
I use the drive for running the Raspberry PI4 and it is faster than the micro chip. Pretty much plug and play and easy to load the OS from my main system.
Its fast and easy to set up
Goes fast when pluggued at the right place. To acheive high speed you need a USB 3.2 gen 2x2. See the image. Solid case. Well ! for lights lovers , there is a dance of colors.
Its personally fast for me when I transfer, import and export. I mainly use it to edit videos on my Macbook Pro with the M1 chip. So far so good, not the fastest in terms of export but it will do.
Good size, and price.
Been using the T7 Shield for about a year. Replaced one of my high-capacity 7,200-rpm hard drives that died after years of service. Bought the 2TB size / plenty of space for my needs 256-bit AES encryption is at the hardware level so the data is protected and the drive is fast USB powered, no external power supply USB-A and USB -C cords included Samsung Magician software is good for password access and providing stats on the performance and health of the drive Take it with me everywhere, small and light, rugged with non-slip coating Mirror it to other external drives for data backup in case it gets lost or stolen
-fast with big files -very small
I got this drive for my iphone and my pc backup. Very, very fast and easy to do.
Really small size Comes with 2 cables with different connectors Easy setup
Does excatly what it's supposed to do. Plug and play
