I've been using a Linksys cable-based router ever since I switched from DSL to cable modem about 10 years ago, and once you've run Ethernet cable to all the computer locations in your house and it all works perfectly, why the heck would you want to go wireless and have to deal with a whole different set of tech problems, and potential tampering with/theft of your wireless bandwidth by scummy neighbors? I bought this one to replace my original Linksys router, which after many years of trouble free service (and probably not coincidentally, after a long evening of power interruptions/fluctuations due to lightning strikes in our area), finally started acting up, and had to keep getting reset in order to work. I got the refurb in ONE DAY from NewEgg, went through the normal installation sequence, and the router has been happily chugging away ever since, with no sign of trouble. Price, value, works as it's supposed to, and quick shipping all add up to five stars for me.
