This is far and away the best cpu for gaming our right now. It's an absolute beast. AMD opened up overclocking for this chip and honestly there isn't much performance to gain there. But where this chip really shines is undervolting. I was able to get a stable -40 all core undervolt using curve optimizer and now this thing sips power in all core workloads and sits at around 55 degrees C with an AIO cooling.

Got this to replace a Ryzen 5600 system. Noticeable speed increase and runs cooler too. Using it mostly for video file playback and it doesn't chug on 8K or high bit-rate 4K content. Got it on sale so the price was right. A good option for a starter gaming PC.

Power usage is surprisingly low

It can run most games 1080p maxed out, so for the resolution you don't need to upgrade unless you want >60 fps at all times. The included cooler is enough for stock usage which is a nice bonus.

Installed and booted with no problems!

Was able to get DDR5 to 9200MHZ CL40 with AI tuning and see more potential for manual tuning as the platform matures. Great for AI locally and gaming is smooth as well.

I had no problem installing into my pc.

-I have significant performance enhancement since getting this. -Was also delivered on time.

When you need something that Bezos doesn't have or is overpriced, use NewEgg

-24 PCIE Lanes -Cheaper then launch price 5950X with a huge boost in performance - Supports IGPU for easier trouble shooting should problems arise in the future -supports some older cooling solutions from x570 boards. -Very fast CPU out of the box with no overclocking -16 Cores 24 Threads -Works very well with enthusiast graphic cards ( 3090, 3090 ti 4090, etc) -Excellent for productivity -Able to use PCIE 5.0 storage albeit with the proper motherboard -Competes with Intel so you are no longer forced to only have 1 option

FPS boost in 4k when compared to similar options/price point.

This CPU will boost to a full 5.4 GHZ. during heavy workloads! It runs a little hotter than my AM4 CPUs, about 14 degrees over ambient, using a Thermalright Spirit 120 SE. But during heavy gaming, it runs about 63 °C, and that is cool enough!

Goated Fast Price-Performance

I had terrible overheating when I tried to upgrade to 10th gen and 11th gen. I waited for 12th gen non-K CPU's to get the best possible thermals. 12400F is currently the top of value/performance, mine runs stable at 30 C idle and around 45 C in CS:GO using Phanteks GlacierOne 240 AIO installed in Asus ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming WiFi D4 (which is an overkill for this CPU, but I was going for an all-white build). I reused my old Corsair DDR4 memory, no issues.

My first AMD processor works as expected. Discrete graphics available It is nice to have the CPU cooler present in the box.

This doubles my multi thread rating. BF6 loads me in to maps much faster. If I encode more DVD Movies it will not take nearly as long. Planning to wait a couple of years before replacing the mobo, CPU, and RAM in my computer. RAM prices are out of control. Waiting for them to come back down.

It smashes my i5 11600k that i had in iracing an now i can upgrade gpu from 4060 to something more high end....

Worked a lot better than my Ryzen 7 2700 and setting up the bios right for the new chip.

Best bang for the buck CPU. Paired with RTX 3070TI for a mild gaming rig/media center.
