-8 cores that can be overclocked at 5.0ghz -Best single core processing -95w means less power consumption out the box -Chipsets on compatible boards allow this beast to perform the best gaming experience. -Gives you the ability to say you have an engram and an I9

- great for gaming and productivity - not as hard to cool as I was told, zero thermal throttling with a 280mm AiO

Intel, i-7, hyperthreading, tock,

Rock solid reliable historically Fast for what is now a mid-range processor Reasonably priced - way less than a mid range GPU

Slightly noticeable speed improvement coming from an i8700 and greatly improved cooling solution. The speed of this 12100f i3 is better than 8700 most of the time unless you have aftermarket cooler for 8700 and happen to be at full utilization of all your cpu power and multicores. I Never really see too many cores getting fully utilized or the cpu utilization get very high on my 8700 so opted to test out a 4 core 8 thread with the idea can always upgrade later. The stock cooler actually works for this 12100f was in the 40-50 celsius, just fine unlike for 8700 that thermal throttles at easily gets to 90-100c. 12100f does Overclocks as well with the right motherboard/bios, which is nice, but didn't even seem like it was necessary so I clocked it back down. Using in b660 asrock steel legend atx board. Good to wait out DDR 5 and waiting for Pcie 5 cards to eventually come out, and prices on video cards if they ever come down.

good price/ fast delivery
