Overkill for any sort of gaming but so are basically every CPU on the market atm. Good value for performance if you get it on a good sale like I did way under the price of its AMD competitors. Can be undervolted quite heavily and stay stable reducing power consumption and thermals way below what AMD runs at but reviewers are dumb and never do this for some reason despite knowing it's been a MOBO issue for years but blame the CPU. Can handle insane voltages/wattage if you really want to push the clock speeds and got the cooling for it.

I like that it is 20 cores and runs up to 5.6 Ghz while not going above 75 C. It only hits 70s under full load. Gaming 55 Celsius. Idles at 32 C using Corsair ICUE H150i RGB Elite on balanced setting.

This processor is another great upgrade from the older series.

Used this CPU for a budget build specifically for the integrated graphics. It runs acceptably for a business productivity machine. Since it has a 65W TDP using the include heat-sink/fan is more than adequate.
