After 9+ years and multiple motherboard builds with my gigantic Antec P280, it was time for a change and to downsize my case for my new build. The Define 7 Compact became my choice of case. I am finally forgoing optical drive built into the case. This case was super easy to wire the motherboard into. I loved that the top panel and case frame are able to be removed in order to get to the power connector and jumpers around the CPU are of the board. I had no issues hiding and wires and routing them on thwack side of the motherboard panel. I was also able to fit the Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler but was only able to have one fan mounted to the heat sync due to clearance issues. This was no problem for me as the heat sync and single fan were plenty effective to cool my z490 Vision D and 10700k Processor. Additionally, I was able to also fit teethe Sapphire Radeon Nitro+ Rx 5700 Xt GPU card all using air cooling.

I always thought about Silverstone as a premium case brand. That is definitely the case here. This is a functional design that is wonderfully evocative of a bygone era of quality down to the weight and feel of the case itself. - Has 3x5.25 drive bays. - Has 4x3.5 internal HDD bays. - USB-A and USB-C ports (that are wonderfully hidden). - Enough space inside to be pleasant to build in while remaining compact.

- Fits everything you may need. - Looks pretty neat. - Mesh material and overall build feels pretty high quality, other cases mesh-like parts look pretty bad and cheap, lian li nailed the design and quality.

A lot of thought went into these fans. They feel really solid, they look amazing, and they arent tooo loud. This to me is the overall best fan if you want everything from the rgb to decent performance. They're no noctua fan, but they look 1000 tines better, and do some stuff noctuas dont.

They look great, especially when going for a all black minimal rgb build, move a ton of air

I have used the T30 120 for years on my watercooled builds for radiators and and for air cooling . I expect these to work as great as the 120s . By far the best 8 bay NAS case. I paired mine with an intel N100 nas motherboard and 8 10tb seagate drives and it runs great. The case has plenty of cooling, the two provided fans are not loud but keep the drives cool. Back plane is easy to access from the front. Rubber drive handle and plugs are not great, but get the job done and keep the drives quiet. Good looking unit with drive lights and nice white power button.
