This is far and away the best cpu for gaming our right now. It's an absolute beast. AMD opened up overclocking for this chip and honestly there isn't much performance to gain there. But where this chip really shines is undervolting. I was able to get a stable -40 all core undervolt using curve optimizer and now this thing sips power in all core workloads and sits at around 55 degrees C with an AIO cooling.

Very soft paste that is easily dispensed. Like other premium pastes, this is better than stock. They provide enough for a couple applications depending on how liberal you are on using it. Unlike many other stock pastes, it shouldn't dry out which is a great reason to consider getting some. After a month of typical gaming and encoding use, I inspected the paste and it is still as good as when I originally applied it. So far so good!

Great CPU works great plays all the games maxed out.

I like the speeds. I use this for a "weather computer" that runs MYRADAR 24/7. Works excellent for that.

Runs surprisingly cool, a beast of a cpu weather you use it for gaming or work it doesnt disappoint.

my in-game framerate doubled! even with a better monitor from 1080p to 1440p. I upgraded motherboard from b450 to b550, vnme 1/2 TB to 1 TB, ram from 2800 to 3333 MHz, and of course the CPU from 3200g to 5800xt. Paired with a 4060 GPU

Glad I replaced the temporary 8700G with this. People should also consider this when aiming for a 7800X3D but have a mid to low budget. 7800X3D is way too overpriced today (at least, in Canada), and people should wait to see if they go down in price when 9800X3D comes. Either way, 7700X is worth the price.

Goated Fast Price-Performance

This stuff seems to work better than standard compound. It stays around 130F. Might go lower if the motherboard wasn't in control of the fan.
