Excellent.

Small and works great for the modem and router and other small power use.

This rack is made of very heavy gauge steel. It is very rugged and very easy to assemble. It may help to have a second set of hands to put it together. I love that StarTech included some cable management hooks! Very helpful! The price is excellent. Would buy a second rack if needed. I looked at other open frame racks and StarTech's was the only one that came with everything I needed and then some. Plus it is a full size 42u rack.

Been waiting for a storm to submit a review. This unit maintained my internet connection during a Tornado Warning and subsequent power outage. I love it!

Lots of room in this case. Pre-installed fans

- High-end IPMI + dual 25gb LAN = great value at $450. - Multitude of BIOS configuration options. - 1-week burn-in went well.

I've owned this UPS for several trouble free years and am completely satisfied with it's performance. I bought it when it was first coming to dealers. Newegg didn't even have it listed yet so I got it from another place. With computer (7 fans and single GPU), 42 inch TV, printer, modem, and router, I have 12 minutes of power before it's ready to shut things down. Setup is fairly easy with the software and I prefer to use the on-screen interface rather than the pendant. This thing is super quiet when you are not drawing power from it. I've called technical support before and was always treated with respect, having my questions answered.

Aside from the usual UPS features..... the power savings outlets are by far my favorite. This thing has 2 outlets that will shut off when the "master" (the main battery outlet - obviously the computer) powers below the set range (25w default). Fantastic, my stereo reciever and subwoofer arn't left running pointlessly when my computer is off. The other feature that I absolutely love is the LCD read out of the current watts. It really puts it into perspective how much power my computer system/xbox/LCD screens pull off the grid. Over 500w if it's all turned on, YIKE. Having the current wattage displayed in my face helps me minimize usuage. This this will pay for itself in due time.

Ok, to get this out of the way--ONE button does everything. Not the most convenient thing for consumers to do but simplifies things for the maker of the product except when people call them and go "blah blah, how do I do this or dat?" The instructions come with it on how to set settings though. Voltage trip range could be set to sensitive, normal, or high. I left it on normal, which is preset, and it tripped once within a week--I heard a click from the unit, which means it activated. Also, audio alarm could be disabled (or couple other options as to when it would activate), all of which also is set by one button.. meh. You have to hold button for so long, blah, do so long of a press blah, blah blah... meh. Green power LED is very nice looking but too bright for bedrooms, so I had to put a sticky note paper over it and paint that area with a black permanent marker (in reverse order) to keep that light from shining brightly in the room. Overall: it is a very nice polished looking product for a reasonable price.
