Easy packaging, arrived on time

Hard Drive is definetely faster than my 4 years old Barracuda. Perfect for my Plex Server.

Received drive where it was in a frame in center of box which was in a semi secure Newegg box. Plugged in drive into old mediasonic probox that was rated for 8tb drives. Worked fine. Ubuntu says you have to format that 16tb size as GPT and that worked fine. Over 14tb usable space. Temp of drive is similar to my 4 and 8tb WD red drives and is much cooler than the 10tb WD Plus drive. Speed was high at around 200MB transfer rates. Noise was slightly higher than the 4tb WD drives, but still low. Drive is new, not used, not recertified. Manufacture date is March 2023 which is when the warranty starts, so not very long ago.

Easy setup and easy copying

Huge storage that is faster than the 4 TB expansion disks that I bought several years ago.

-Quiet -Runs Cool -Most importantly, it works, works well. -Hits between 70-90 MB/s on network transfers with FREENas and ZFS. Running 2 of these in RAID 1 with Freenas. They have been on for 9 months straight, no issues. Will buy more in the future.

Good size for a NAS

Just bought and seemed like great Price for the size. Just as fast as my 4TB drive

I originally ordered this from Amz for my NAS server but it arrived with bad sectors. I returned that one and changed to this one and it arrived and worked perfectly. Not only did it work flawlessly but it arrived a week earlier. Ill be ordering more of these as my funds allow.

Good capacity and pretty quite even under load.

Pour un NAS c'est très bien, c'est la deuxième série que j'achète depuis un an et aucun problème jusqu'à maintenant avec la première série de 4, cette série de 2 remplace des vieux Toshiba qui ont fait leur temps. Performances au rendez-vous et livraison Newegg rapide, merci!

I ordered the drive from new egg but it arrived dead on arrival as confirmed by my computer technician and in writing by the Computer Service Business. First I called Seagate .... biggest run around in my life. They wanted me to go back to the store and have them take pictures of it in the drive (it was already removed. I said i would not pay to do that. They said it's policy. I called New Egg .... CUSTOMER SERVICE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE COOPERTIVE. What a great company to do business with. Yes, drives can arrive bad, but please, Seagate, don't have me spend hundreds of dollars trying to constantly install and reinstall it. Learn to trust the consumer. BOTTOM LINE .... stick with New Egg
