I use the docking station to move from a PC with 6 drives to a iMac 5k. To my surprise all the PC drives 3T and 4T were instantly available on the mac as well as all the files and photos! I can have both mac and pc drives in the doing station at the same time. I can pop in the drives I need when I need them. What a difference in transferring from a mac to PC which I did 3 months ago. That was an experience that no one should have to undergo!

Easy installation with SAMSUNG 980 M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express 3.0 x4, NVMe. My bad, the screw need to insert from the back (read the installation manual). Take less than a minute to put it together. Recognize by windows 10 right away, format with MBR since this is only 1TB. Did not do a read/write testing but definitely faster than hard drive. Ha! Ha! Wait to see the long term reliability.

It works great and the actual disk manufacturer and model number shows up when you run HDD testing software like Crystal Disk Info, HD Guardian, WinDFM, HD Tune and the like. Some other brands of dockjng stations identify as the docking station itself instead of the hard drive. Does not slow down the drive. This makes it good for testing new hard drives before installing them. It alsk works good as a backup device. Holds the drive firmly in ace.
