Trade in program let me swap this for my old 13600k to get a much better binned CPU and two free games (Battlefield 6 & Assassin's Creed Shadows) for a grand total cost of $18 in the end. Not bad.

Nice chip, I needed a little faster machine for my plex server and so far very impressed. I also use it for Visual Studio and office applications. Very quick, memory set to 3600, and no delays. I built with a Asus strix B550 Wi-Fi, Evo M2, and G.skill 3600 memory. The faster memory does make a difference, the motherboard defaulted to 2133, simple change to 3600 in the bios speeds it up. Be sure to download the bios and drivers from Asus. Works perfectly. Using stock cooler no hit issues.

Upgraded 2020 budget mini ITX build from Ryzen 5 2600. Updated mobo before disassembly. For unknown reason CPU would not register/ black screen, then it magically went to working after I asked for replacement. LOL. Does not come with fan, which I knew. Reused Nomura fan and cooler. Temps very moderate. I also upgraded to an NVMe 1tb ssd, all paired with existing GTX1060 6 GB, 16 GB RAM. Could not be happier. Noticeable difference in speed. Should be good for several more years now. Fast shipping too.

works well on a asus rog b760f with the supplied orbital fan. AI3 software runs in low power mode and turbos with game applications and stays under 78c average with a top down blower fan

A quality product from Intel that is supremely easy to overclock providing that it is coupled to a decent cooler because it's a hot product in all respects. Mine is installed in an Asus Maximus ROG Apex z690 and is easy to set up and adjust using Asus's AIOC algorithm. I also made the switch to Win 11 Pro and this, no doubt, allows for appropriate workload distribution amongst the P(erfomance) and E(fficiency) cores. I have had no issues with any of my programmes (music scores, statistical analyses, games etc)

System's motherboard BIOS was updated to the 2024 release. There was a different processor in the MB (A520M PRO) at the time. Ryzen 3 was installed and no issues with start-up. Although, it booted a few times to make adjustments. As a general desktop, the system flies. It is being used to write this review.

My first AMD processor works as expected. Discrete graphics available It is nice to have the CPU cooler present in the box.
