so, I have a desktop connected to the router by means of Wi-Fi; no more cables around the room; and it works, no issues moreover, I am able to connect my Bluetooth keyboard and mouse without interruptions; if before it was 50%-ish, now is in the 95% and more (and I suspect the 5% is not due to the card) I have 2 USBs free now on the front of the HTPC I use Linux Mint

After fighting with the stock Atheros card in my ASUS G74 constantly dropping signal, I finally did some research and bought this card. I've been using an AC router for quite some time, but it's only now that I can get that sweet 867 Mbps connection. Even with interference, it never drops below about 540. Gaming is so much better now, with none of the connection drops, lag, or other general weirdness I had with the Atheros card.
