I live in the country and it's real common to loose power. With an APC I never have to worry about loosing data from a fast shut down. I also don't have to worry about loosing computers, monitor, speaker system or even the printer. It's battery backup for four units and a surge protection for 8. It even gives me time to get a battery lamp and flash lights. The most important thing though is that it gives me the security of knowing that when I'm not here it gives the computer time to shut down just like I was doing it my self. I thought it was bells and whistles, but it's really nice to know my battery strength, how long and how many times it's shut down and even for how long. Great Product and as always delivered fast and secure by Newegg.

Bought three units and they have all ran flawlessly for almost 2 years now. I have had several power outages and they have always protected their Linux servers from premature power off without problem.

Does its job

My first APC replacement battery never came in. But I got my money back. That's a good thing. But I had to re-order order this one and so far it's working well with no problems. It was fully charged when I took it out of the package plus fast cam in took 2 days. I'm happy with this one.

- Compact - Easy to set up

The ability to add an external battery pack drew me toward this unit. I wound up not needing any extra batteries. Its display shows different info when scrolling through the various options. Estimated runtime in minutes is great info as is the current load in watts.

Plenty of plugs. Love the larger spaced ones for transformer plug-ins! Best feature for me though, oddly, is the plug covers. Why? 4 small dogs. Shed these little fine hairs. Gets into everything. Not this Surge bar though. Thank jehovah for those covers! Apparently the word "dog", reverse the first and last letters, is unacceptable now. go figure. how sad

Very efficient design (wall mountable.) Belkin backs all products (though sometimes slow on customer service.) Very great build quality. Good power cable length. Comes with a cord retention harness (great for cable management.) Price was great for this type of joule rating and build quality. $100,000 warranty on attached equipment. (Must have proof of equipment being attached before and after damage also that the protected LED was on when equipment was attached.)

I hid this behind a wall-mounted PC for extra surge protection. A good, cheap solution for this type of application!
