Great Keyboard, lasted 4 years 9/29/2017 1:44:07 PM

Pros: - Bought in 2013, no issues until mid 2017
- Solid key feeling

Cons: - A bit loud, but what do you expect with a mechanical keyboard
- Not really a con, but after 4 years two keys fell off, could be because i hammer fisted my keyboard a couple times.

Pros: Build quality, variable brightness, USB ports, audio control

Cons: Does not remember brightness settings

Overall Review: I wanted a backlit, mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Blue switches, and this model went on sale, so I took the leap. Glad I did. Excellent key response, I can SEE the the keys I need to look for (I'm a touch typist, but who can hit the function/numeric keys without looking?), and the USB ports are a great addition. I have several Rosewill products, all of which have performed flawlessly in the time I've had them. Highly recommended.

Great keyboard, better than expected. 12/15/2014 10:18:49 AM

Pros: - Great build quality
- Design is simple and slick
- Keys react as they're meant to

Cons: - No built-in memory to remember your key light brightness
- Keys are a bit smaller in width than I thought they'd be, but I got used to it quickly
- Non-programmable
- I miss having a button to open up the calculator =(

A nice keyboard, but not for playing games 12/9/2014 5:22:25 AM

Pros: >Good, clean typing sound
>Bright, adjustable blue LEDs
>"Gaming" mode that disables the windows key
>Comes with a palm rest
>Media controls
>Macro support
>Two USB ports and a mic/headphone jack
>The USB cable feels very tough and rugged
>Comes with a key removal tool and different-colored WASD keys (they don't play well with the LEDs, though)

Cons: >Doesn't have a windows key on the right side of the space bar, which is especially annoying for multi-monitor window management. This task requires two hands to do, instead of the normal one.
>It's a bit elevated in the back, which can hurt your wrists if you're not used to that
>There is no "stop" media button, and the volume up/down buttons don't really adjust the volume much
>Keys can sometimes stick, so "Newegg" turns into "Neweggggggg" (NOTE: I mean they get stuck electronically, so the keyboard *thinks* you're holding a key, even when you're not)
>The keyboard stays illuminated even if the computer is on standby (my old keyboard, which also has illuminated LEDs, does not) though this may be only because of my motherboard and not the keyboard.

Overall Review: I bought this to replace my aging Logitech G110, and I generally do use this more than that keyboard. However, I don't use it to play games on, because I found myself accidentally pressing "A" or "D" while I was playing FPS games.

I think this is because the keys are slightly elevated in the back, coupled with the lightness of the blue switches. I still greatly prefer using this keyboard over the G110 for things like typing Word documents or writing this review, but I can't stand using it to play FPS games. I'm also pretty heavy-handed, so maybe it's just me, and won't affect you.

Typing on this is very easy, as you would expect from a blue switch keyboard. After using it for a few weeks, when I had to use my laptop at work it gave me the impression that I was typing on mushy potatoes.

This keyboard is also extremely hydrophobic. I don't mean to say that I spilled a glass of water into it, but while I was taking a drink, a few drops of water fell into the keyboard because of the condensation on the glass. This caused some of the keys to malfunction, albeit temporarily. A few minutes of drying it out and it worked 100%. Still, be wary about any fluids getting near it.

As for the comment in the "pros" about the different-colored WASD keys: the keys are normally all black with a small window for the blue LED light to come through (usually what the key is). On the different-colored keys, though, the *whole key* lights up. A minor gripe, but it was distracting enough for me to not use them.

I like it. 12/8/2014 6:44:37 PM

Pros: Really good feeling, bright LED's, clicky switches (I really love the sound of this but hey thats just my opinion), good weight (not too heavy, not too light), and 2 USB ports on the board. Kinda like how the CAPS lock, NUM lock and SCROLL lock light up green when they are activated and are off when not activated. Cool idea, seems easier than having seperate LED's above the number pad to show if the lock keys are on. REALLY love the mechanical keys. Much better to type on than chicklet or membrane keys.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Awesome keyboard, sounds cool when you type on it, bright LED's and the multimedia keys are pretty cool. Also has a gaming mode so only the WASD and arrow keys are on. Seems pretty cool but to be honest I'd rather have all the keys lit up because it just looks so cool and bright.

Pros: Feels SO NICE. I type deliberately and accurately. You can feel when you hit the key. For games, it's subjective on what cap is better, but I love blues because I really know that I'm hitting the key.

Cherry MX Blues are my favorite. I really dislike all the other common key caps, and to me it seems there's less Cherry MX Blue keyboards out there.

Not too flashy. I wanted a keyboard that had a little pizazz but not one that was insanely rice. It's very bright, too, and I always turn it on the lowest setting.

Very thick braided cable.

Function buttons with multimedia controls. Just a little thing that adds a plus, and makes it better than your average standard keyboard.

Cons: Since it has no internal memory, it will not save your brightness setting or mode. Not really a biggie.

Uses 2 USB slots, one for the keyboard itself, and one to power the LEDs. Also, understandable, and not a biggie.

Overall Review: Overall, I was looking for a simple Cherry MX Blue keyboard. Not one that was completely vanilla, but not one that was insanely over-the-top. It's kind of hard to find that, especially since Blues seem to be the least-manufactured out of the big four. You either find keyboards with no options for around $60-$70ish, or you find insane ones like Razer's Black Widow which cost a mint and have features I don't want. The middle ground is an untapped market, I think.

Excellent 10/8/2014 4:45:50 AM

Pros: Feel is outstanding, feedback is spot on. The noise harkens me back to the early 90s when IBM ruled the roost and not a soul slept in my house while I was hacking away on the local BBS.

Cons: Full brightness is wicked freakin bright. Also, the USB cord is so beefy getting the two heads to plug-in while in on close proximity can be a challenge

Overall Review: Do it.
