looks is very good, fans are decent for such a budget pc case
I like the immense cable management options, the measurements in the description lived up to expectations The four fans coming with the case was a huge plus. The three fans on the side pull air in and the back one pushes it out by default. I love the color and the quality feels great. The glass feels durable and not easily scratched but do treat it carefully. I love the PSU cage also with the multiple cable management slots. I had 0 issue getting my PSU cables connected to MB and components.
Specs: AMD 9700x Asus B650E - I Crucial - Pro Overclocking 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz C36 RTX 4080 FE 2TB + 1TB Crucial M.2 ID-COOLING Frostflow X 280mm Corsair 850 2023SF Series SF850 I have tried a couple of SFF cases, including the NR200. This Era 2 case keeps it slim, sleek, stylish, and easy to work with...more importantly, it performed the best. Keeps my 9700x (65w) and 4080 FE @ good temperatures with headroom. I think the key is going with a 280mm aio for better airflow and lower noise. I went with the ID Cooling X 280 and fits perfectly. The possibility to upgrade the 140mm fans to a noctua or similar performance could further improve temp performance. This was a quick and straightforward build, but plan your builds, measure twice, front panel cables are not very long, going with a non rgb device helps reduce management. This is meant to use AIO's, but plenty of choices if going with low profile air coolers. Going with single braided psu cables will also help, corsair sf 850w comes with it. Exclude using 2.5 ssd and omit the ssd cage for better airflow if build permits. I am very happy with the looks and performance of this case, Fractal really took it to heart to get the ERA 2 right. Is it perfect, nah, but is it good for the size. Absolutely.
Plenty of space, quality build, good air flow, subtle on one side, turn around and can flash your bling on the other side, hidden PSU and good volume for SSDs/cable management.
does support larger gpus with adjusting middle framing. cable management is quite good also Easy to take apart to mount everything
RGB 4 fans are great.
Everything was exceptionally intuitive and I easily found the necessary parts/places to mount my components. The wiring was super easy to make look clean and there plenty of routes that I could go.
Hello all, this case is not a bad design, easy moding, even with the built in rgb fans. Price point is equal to cases in same range, so take it for what it is. You get glass panel, not plastic, easy wire channels. Good case for price point .
- Unique look with tons of stylistic potential - All panels easily removed with magnets or snap connectors - Comes with front panel for LCD kit - Gorgeous
Its a full size tower. I bought it this to have space for my GPU that didnt fit my old tower. I got an Asrock Phantom RX6900 XT OC 16GB and it fits perfect.
Tons of space, easy cable routing, very durable, pre-installed fans mounted correctly and cables routed in a very efficient way.
Soo this is a bit of an intermediate solution for me to get my feet wet with networked storage (at some point in time, Ill be migrating this all downstairs to the rackmount HP cabinet in my basement, after I land on the right rackmount case) -But for the time being, this case sits on my coffee table in my upstairs lab with 6 spindles in it running FreeNAS with several CIFS mounts on it looking innocuously chill, plenty of ventilation (switch on the back to adjust speed), from where its at in comparison to where my desk is situated at -I dont hear any noise from it, Lighting -When youre moving several terbytes overnight in & out of this box, really you only need 2 lights -Power & disk activity, they pull this off well Build: Asus P8H77-I Intel G620 16gb GSkill Sniper RAM (2x8) (6) 3Terb WB Red drives (These format to 2.7 Terb each with ZFS) Garden variety USB Jumpdrive (Boot OS) Fractal Design Node 304 case Long story short, if youre looking for a NAS case in a typical home environment -This works well in my opinion
