I'm no "golden ear", so I won't extol the sonic virtues that may or may not be present. It sounds good to me, and that's all I expect. My old speakers always gave a loud pop when I turned on the computer, but that's now a problem of the past.

I have been using the same old set of basic 2.0 speakers for about 8 years on my last 3 computers, and I thought, heck, what's the point of spending money on speakers + soundcards when I can hear everything just fine... I was wrong! The 2" sattelite speakers plus the 4" subwoofer make a huge difference in movies and games! The subwoofer adds a whole new level of immersion, like going from 2d graphics to 3d. I'm no audio buff, but these things sound great and they look sharp too. Also, I was worried I would need to buy a sound card to run them, but my onboard audio was good enough and it only needed the one audio input jack that I was using before. (Mobo GA-MA770-DS3).

Really great style. Photos don't do it justice, but these are really nice-looking speakers. They also sound really good, and despite their relatively low power rating, produce nice, realistic base.
