If you are still on the 1000 series, just upgrade it's time. I do very light PC gaming but I mostly stream my PS5 using OBS and there are no hiccups at all and I can stream at 1440p to 4K without breaking a sweat. Having access to AV1 is just amazing. My GPU barely breaks a sweat. NVIDIA broadcast is amazing, the virtual green screen and noise reduction is just amazing, I wish I had upgrade sooner in the 2000 or 3000 series, but I'm glad I'm upgraded. 32GB VRAM ITs not a cutdown 9070 XT, its 98% the same speed in gaming and obviously much greater for large memory applications like pytorch/generative ai. Still boosts right up to 3ghz, can be undervolted, no stupid zero rpm fan idle Fan defaults to a silent 1000rpm idle and unlike most blower gpus it really doesnt need to ramp up path 50% pwm (2500rpm) to cool a sustained 300w. Games exactly like a 9070 xt.

I thought I was going to regret buying the most expensive 5080 but Ive come to appreciate that I did. Upgraded from an RTX3070 and the difference is night and day. Star Wars Outlaws plays flawlessly. - 3200Mhz stable core clocks and 18000mhz memory without even touching power. - Temps are about 60dC at about 55% fan use at 73dF ambient. Fan is quiet when under 60% use. Going past that you begin to hear it but it doesnt bother me at all. - Frame Generation is honestly incredible. I thought Id hate it but its actually wildly impressive.

Everything I wanted, and more. This GPU (obviously) blows my old 5700xt out of the water and then some.

Upgraded from 3060ti

Really quiet, cant hear fans while playing games at 4K. Giant cooler that was also made for the 5090 versions so it can handle all the power you throw at it. Handles games really well. Amazing lighting features on the card, in person the fan lighting looks a lot better than in the video.

New build and didn't want to use my old 1070 ti. so ya, was needed.

Performance

All is good, though it only has 1 8-pin power connector instead of 2 8-pins as stated in the advertisement, this is a plus, made it all the easier to incorporate into my new build. It also has a smaller footprint than specs describe, fitting easily into my ATX case with space to spare.

Can not beat this for the MSRP price, was $599 on release day, hopefully they keep the price as such. 1440p Max settings on all my games including raytracing is well over 100fps. CoD was running max everything around 155fps. Its all still new. I went with the 7700xt for the price while getting into the 1440p range without breaking the bank. My sons first pc he will be getting it for Christmas. This steel legend card looks awesome Note the video has fan noise this is not the pc. This is a box fan running due to me having to build this rig in my bedroom because it is supposed to be a surprise for Christmas.

High frame rate, easy to install, runs quiet, solid built.
