I have the older APC SMC1500 and it has improvements. I like that this has more time when power is shut off. The APC SMT1500 C can handle heavier loads and the menu status screen is better even though it still has the same size screen.

This solved a dirty power issue for an industrial control panel I service frequently.

This UPS replaced an APC Smart UPS 750 RM 2U - also a rackmount unit. The SRT1000RMXLA adds a super-functional display, power-conditioning capabilities in addition to larger battery capacity/improved runtime.

Being located in a remote National Park we get surges from lightning storms and fluctuation also in power drops, because the 70 mile above ground phone line is affected by wind etc . I would highly recommend this unit as it seems to even out the all of these fluctuations.

Kept my computer safe when the faulty wiring in our new dorm room kept shorting out! works as advertized, and has enlightened me to the fact that my computer dosent draw as many watts as i think it does!

***An updated after several months of usage, and a change in score to 5 stars as I've learned more about the unit. Buried in the software which is run through your web browser, is a setting to turn down the sensitivity on the incoming voltage which fixes my major con of this unit for me, the unit toggling between ac and battery constantly. *** Very straight forward to setup, the units interface is fairly intuitive to use. Provided me with roughly 30min of power for 2 computers, I7 7700K with a 1080ti, and a I9 10590XE with a 3080, a boat load of SSD drives between them, lots of peripherals and 3 monitors. No blip in the computers performance when switching between battery and ac driven power. Online web interface for real time monitoring of the unit is a nice plus, can send you email reports when issues arise with the unit. Clear instructions to position the unit in it's final resting place before you connect the battery. This style battery shouldn't be moved around once it's connected.

We live in a rural area so our line power isn't the greatest. Have used APC in the past and thought I'd try this. It does what it's supposed to, just like APC, but it doesn't break the bank like APC. Have already had the power go off and on a few times and this thing works great. Can't comment on the software as I have this protecting my Linux box, but so far there are no issues.

Almost enough wattage for a UPS design that I was seeking way before purchasing after finally realizing I might need this much wattage or more as well as this design and the the only problem was that it just wasn't going to be enough wattage to properly shutdown all the connected equipment and that it didn't have all the possible connections I was still seeking for the type of UPS I needed this to be.
