5 out of 5 eggsBest Mouse

Pros: This mouse is the most responsive and fluid motion mouse I have ever used. It blows my Logitech MX out of the water, and my Logitech 518 can't touch it.

Cons: had a little problem with the scroll wheel not scrolling, but after installing the software it resolved itself.

5 out of 5 eggsProbably the Best Gaming Mouse I've Owned

Pros: Just having the ability to swap out the shell for a size that best suits your hand automatically makes this mouse an exceptional piece of hardware.

The triggering of the mouse buttons 4 and 5(thumb buttons) are effortless and comfortable. The subtle clicks most of the buttons produce is minimal but satisfying.

Setting the scrolling speed on the fly is equally as easy. I've found myself more and more accustomed to swapping between scrolling speeds now in first person shooters or even using this feature to correct overly sensitive games.

Cons: On very rare occasions will I somehow accidentally trigger the mouse scroll speed buttons.

The mouse wheel can be difficult to press without moving the mouse wheel. If your game requires a middle mouse button to be pressed (Path of Exile) by default, I would suggest a different mouse to use(Razer Naga has a really easy to click middle mouse button).

Other Thoughts: I also own, most of the Razer mice except the Hex.

Every aspiring or current gaming peripheral designer should strive to design products that have some sort of adjustment so when a larger-handed(as opposed to smaller-handed) human can comfortably use a mouse of their choosing(usually based off of packaging design and reviews).

5 out of 5 eggsLove

Pros: Feels great (have big hands and used the smaller grip)

lived for 4 years (only died because my dog chewed the cable)

Cons: The changeable grips are kind of loose, not extremely loose but enough to bother me BUT i did fix that by just hot gluing the grip to the mouse. =]

Other Thoughts: the con is the ONLY thing i could think of that ever bothered me about the mouse

Just got the Naga 2013 for the 4th time and for me it is not very precise will be returning it to get the G9x again

5 out of 5 eggsI've had this mouse for about 5 years

Pros: I actually have the G9. It's a great mouse. I'm not even going to get into the specs because a lot of reviews on here already have that and quite frankly I'm lazy. I've had this mouse since 2007/2008 and IT STILL IS AWESOME. The mouse itself still looks brand new. Granted I'm not really hard on my things, but I've been gaming with this and using it for work every day (10+ hours daily) for the past 5 years.

People talk about the size of the mouse being too small, but as a female gamer and graphic designer, I find that it fits my hand perfectly and doesn't cramp my hand. Actually the "wide" grip is too big for me so I use the precision grip exclusively.

Honestly this is the best built mouse I've used. I've paid for other mice in the same price range and they've always felt cheaply made. This mouse just feels sturdy.

Cons: The cord. It does fray and bunch up. BUT considering I've had the same mouse for 5 years and there is a small bunch in it that does not effect usability, I think it's okay.

I considered taking away an egg but I decided against it as most mice don't last half as long as this mouse has lasted for me.

Other Thoughts: I just wanted to really point out the durability with this mouse. The weakest part of the mouse is the cord and I guess I would recommend not moving it around (like putting it in your laptop bag as I do).

Great mouse. I'll probably just buy another one of these after the death of my current one.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Best.

Pros: Comfortable
Configurable
Great software
- DISCREET MOUSE BUTTONS UNLIKE EVERY OTHER PIECE OF GARBAGE MOUSE OUT THERE THESE DAYS -
Every single mouse I've tried (and I've basically tried and returned ALL of them are cheaply made, totally uncomfortable, have terrible sensors, bad button feedback, and most importantly, the mouse buttons are always now part of the top shell, making the mouse clicks inconsistent, flaccid, terrible.
The G9 is one of the only mice out there that still has discreet mouse buttons. The click feel is solid, responsive and consistent. the shape is comfortable, the construction is quality.
the software lets you change the mapping of ALL the buttons, including the stupid DPI rocker switch (*who the hell actually changes their DPI on the fly I can't imagine...)
I've been using it for years and I will only ever buy more of the same as replacement.

Cons: after years of use the coating on the 'fat' shell is sort of disintegrating. not a big deal at all.
the DPI rocker switch is stupid. the always are.
No one adjusts their DPI on the fly while gaming.
If they say they do, they are lying.
this is mitigated by the fact that the software lets you remap the DPI buttons (and all the buttons) to whatever you want.

My ideal mouse would be the G9, with the G600 thumb button pad.
(the G600 mouse itself is a piece of garbage, however, it does have a great thumb button area.)

3 out of 5 eggsLogitech G9x

Pros: Nice shape, responsive, all necessary settings.

Cons: I bought this mouse at the same time as three of my friends. Of the four mice, only one (mine!) still works the way it should. The other three first started going out sporadically and eventually stopped working all together.

The cord is awful and the protective sleeve will most likely break.

Other Thoughts: Would go with a different brand next time considering how short lived this mouse seems to be, but I love the shape, feel and responsiveness of the mouse when it does work.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse!

Pros: This mouse is GREAT! I've been using the G9 model for gaming since it's been out. I love the quick adjustments you can make with the sensitivity and the scroll without using the software. The mouse is relatively small but my hands fit around this mouse perfectly. I havent been able to use any Razor or Steel Series mouse since!

Cons: Mouse may be a little small for you large handed people. Also, I've owned about 5 of these suckers. The mesh around the wire will usually wear away with time and cause loss of connection in my experience. I always get my money out of it though.
