3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This mouse is very comfy, I love the texture of it (not that glossy plastic), great for gaming, and i love the back and forward buttons.

Cons: The clicking noise used to drive me nuts, but then again every mouse does that for me.

--This is the only reason why I'm knocking off the 2 stars :P
I bought this in 7/2009 and it has appeared to have died on me (4/2010)...the buttons still work so it must be something with the laser or diode. (Can't move my cursor on my main windows 7 desktop, or ubuntu 9.10 laptop.) I was expecting this (expensive) mouse to last longer than my cheap microsoft mice. This especially sucks on a student budget. /rant

Other Thoughts: Most amazing mouse I've had until it died. My friend's mouse is the same kind but a year older and is still working great. I just seem to have bad luck...

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful Mouse

Pros: *Weights- The additional weights help my precision.
*Pads- The bottom feet are big and slide well. They don't collect much gunk like other mice.
*Fit- It fits into my hand so nicely.

Cons: *Buttons- Selecting between the 2 side buttons aren't too good an idea. The middle mouse button is sensitive. Sometimes when I press it, it rolls, or it selects the tilt buttons.
*Price- Its an expensive mouse, you get what you pay for.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I destroy the competition with this mouse. it pwns faces, hands down the greatest mouse ive ever played with, and i'm the greatest gamer ever with it. GREAT product, forget about razer products, they suck and are overpriced, logitech knows mice, and i know gaming.

Cons: why would there be cons?

Other Thoughts: buy from newegg, everyone knows they're the best.

5 out of 5 eggsMind Blowing

Pros: Best mouse ever. Glad I spent the money to get it. Plenty of extra buttons. The cord is of a cloth material so it doesn't tangle or anything. Feels great in the hand with its grips. The weights are a great add believe it or not. Distribution weight in the mouse while gaming or even web browsing makes a difference. Changing the sensitivity is literally just pushing a button

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Wouldn't trade this mouse for any other one

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome mouse!

Pros: I have owned this mouse for nearly three years and this thing is still going! Buttons are very responsive, love the feel of the scroll wheel, adjustable dpi on the fly, and the arc on the side lets my thumb rest comfortably. The weights are nice too.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Just an overall great gaming mouse.

5 out of 5 eggsI LOVE IT

Pros: I will never ever ever use a different mouse ever again. Its on the fly variable dpi buttons are AMAZING, It's smoothness is AMAZING, its material is AMAZING. I want to buy 7 of these and put them in storage just in case they stop making them. It's worth every penny. The material around the cord is very durable as well.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: The smoothness and the variable dpi are amazing for FPS but even if you weren't a gamer the everyday desktop use is just flat out unmatched.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointment

Pros: Works ok when it is working.

Cons: The wire sheath starts to fray after a few months of use. The mouse turns off buy itself every now and then. It happens regardless of what I am doing. I can be surfing the web, typing up some homework or playing a game and it would just shut off. I just unplug it and replug it into the USB port. Sometimes it stops working within the minute. Very annoying.

Other Thoughts: I've built my own computer for 10+ years and used to be an avid FPS, RTS and MMO gamer. I've had the MX510 for years before I gave it away. It worked perfectly throughout the years I had my previous laptop. I also bought the MX518 for my current laptop. I now use the MX518 on my desktop. To me the rubber wire sheath feels softer and does not trap dust as much as the nylon one on the G5. And so far I don't have any issues with my MX518 shutting off on me.

The G5 has a lot of fancy features such as weights etc. But what matters the features if it doesn't even work.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat rodents! I mean great Mouse!

Pros: *Adjustable sensitivity on-the-fly! Great for switching in mid-game situations.
*Select the weight you want the mouse to carry. I love the fact that you can make it heavy or light, for different situations.
*Cable is sturdy. Extra thumb buttons allow for Vent or TS push-to-talk buttons. Mousewheel even has left/right.
*Reasonable price for performance :)

Cons: None that I've noticed.

Other Thoughts: Logitech knows its customer when it comes out with great gear like the customizable G5 Laser mouse.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Mouse

Pros: Sturdy feel (aided by mouse weights). The sensitivity indicator on the mouse is a nice touch. I like the textured feel on the mouse, it helps for a good grip. Glides very well over my mouse pad.

Cons: The clicker is kind of loud, the sideways scroll capability took some getting used to.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this mouse to replace a failing Logitech MX518. The sideways scroll capability got on my nerves at first because it made just middle clicking kind of difficult (I would side click when I meant to middle-click).

Still a 5/5 despite the cons, as I kind of expect a loud clicker with gaming mice, and the sideways scroll is semi-useful, but was annoying while I was still getting used to it. This is basically an MX518 with several enhancements, I was not disappointed!
