Pros: - Inexpensive - Accurate - Easy to use I picked up this Rosewill Infrared Thermometer to use in getting a general idea of how hot some hardware components get during use and testing. Such as motherboards, video cards, RAM, heatsinks, power supplies, hard drives, and even other devices such as routers. This way I can offer more information for better hardware reviews. I tested the calibration on a few items of known temperature, and it was always either right on, or within .5 of a degree, perfect for what I bought it for. The backlit LCD display is easy to red, and it's pretty easy to aim and get into tight spaces to get a reading. The fact that it only measures while holding the trigger, holds the reading when released, and remembers the last highest reading is very helpful. Great product.

Overall Review: Some reviews say it did not come with batteries, mine did. Overall this is a fantastic tool and great for what I wanted. It's at a good price point and seems to work wonderfully. Not much else to say, other than I would easily recommend this anyone looking for a good, inexpensive, infrared thermometer. Just be sure to read the specifications to make sure it will work properly in whatever environment or application you intend on using it in or for.

Cons: Is a few degrees off but for most that shouldnt matter isnt like you are using it to take a kids temp with.

Overall Review: I use this in both jobs as a autotech and building computers. The few degrees it is off isnt a big matter to me. If you want something tha is really accurate spend more for it. For my purposes it does its job well for the price i paid.

Pros: I've had this a year, works great, batter lasts a long time. We use it for Candy-making, testing the temp of beverages, and playing with the cats. ;) Very accurate with the laser. C and F.

Pros: The thermometer always gives me reliable reading. I compared it to my much more expensive thermo and the Rosewill is always a few degrees cool. I know that and I can compensate by adding to what the readout says.

Pros: Does what it says to it does. I use it for fun mostly reading temps around the room. and in areas around and in my computer. Checked the temp of the area my radiator blows out to and it reads around ~30C which is around what my temp program says. Also good for ambient temps around the room.

Pros: Easy point and shoot. Fun to use to see what temperature the dog and cat are. Kids will shoot you in the face with this so watch out for the laser. Useful to detect bearing wear on motors and drive shafts as well as heat loss areas in the house. You can use this to measure

Cons: Not as accurate as hoped. Shooting objects inside the refrigerator gives different temp readings based on their colors. Nevertheless this is a useful tool to have.

Overall Review: I have used far more expensive units that gave more consistent readings however if you use the same gun and shoot the same objects you can get comparitive data. These should not be relied upon for critical temperature measurements but for general use the price can't be beat.

Pros: Accurate. I have two of them and they agree with my more expensive brand-name one. A nice IR thermometer for the price.

Cons: Laser aim point on both units is a few degrees below the actual aim point of the IR sensor. At about 12" from the target, the red dot is about .5 to 1" below the IR aim point. At 8 feet, it's about 6" off. You can compensate for it, but it renders the units imprecise and makes them difficult to use for measuring component temperatures on a crowded PC board. My brand-name unit is spot on, so this appears to be a design or construction flaw in the Rosewill thermometer housing.

Overall Review: These are accurate enough as long as you do not need to aim them at a small spot.
