Pros: - The RGB looks fantastic. I'm sure they'll all die one day but until that day I will enjoy them. - The Cherry MX Brown switches are amazing. So satisfying to type with. I use this board for gaming and work (I'm a lawyer so I type a lot) and typing is genuinely enjoyable. It's also just quiet enough for an office. - I love collecting keyboards for some reason (I have 3 atm). I have a Corsair and a Razer and this Ducky 3108s blows them both out of the water in terms of sturdiness and durability. This thing feels heavy - which I love. The key-caps feel nicer, too. - It's not overly big, which is nice. I have a Razer Blackwidow from 2016 and the thing is huge. - Relatively Fast shipping from China. Took 11 days from the date of order to get to my door in New Brunswick. That's not bad considering it's coming from China. Packing was also undamaged and sealed in ample bubble wrap.
Cons: - I just wish the cord was braided. - No USB pass through. You're getting what you pay for though. - The RGB lighting is a little complicated to set up. And you can't individually light up keys like with Corsair and Razer. Not really a huge deal for me but I can see it annoying some people. - no wrist support. I know some people don't like these but I have gotten used to them. I did buy a large mouse mat with the board anticipating the lack of wrist support and it's been working out fine so far. - No media controls. This isn't actually a con for me (I don't care about them) but some people would be annoyed by this. However, I believe you can use key macros to get media controls - not too sure about that, a bit out of my comfort zone. Google it, though, I think I read that somewhere.
Overall Review: All in all, I'd definitely recommend this keyboard for the price I paid ($145). It seems expensive considering what you're missing out on (lack of USB passthrough especially annoyed me at first) but it is just so satisfying to type with. The RGB looks fantastic, the keycaps are good quality (not top of the line, mind you, but still pretty nice). It also feels extremely durable. I could smash this thing a few times and I bet it'd be resilient - not that I would. But some do. It's just a well-made, durable board perfect for anyone who does a lot of typing. I play CSGO and I felt great gaming, too. I've only had the board a few days - but I'll check back in 6 months and provide a long-term update. Cheers!
Pros: - Looks clean and sexy. - No software to install, Plug and Go. - 3 height adjustments is really nice. - Very heavy and it stays put and feels solid. - Accurate and satisfying to type on, I can type faster and more precisely on this than any other keyboard I have used. - Build quality seems great so far. - Keys aren't too loud considering they are mechanical. - I find certain maneuvers in games to be much easier now.
Cons: - The included manual for key functions and macros is only partially translated to English and is somewhat impossible to use. - I don't like the font style, it looks like a stencil and I think it's very tacky.
Overall Review: - Keys aren't very visible with back light off. Some people might like this. - The heavy weight of this won't make it very good for portability but I really like how heavy it is.
Pros: - Vendor emailed me updates with shipping and tracking information - Vendor contacts you to make sure you received package - Actual Akko x Ducky 3108s - Sturdy keyboard - Comes with hotkey instructions (also available through ducky website online) - Cherry Reds all day baby - Compact, sturdy keyboard. Made more room on my desk and doesn’t look so cluttered - Absolutely no latency. - Plug and go. No installation needed. - Satisfying key clicks. - Keycaps are easy to remove if you want to put any custom ones on. Also comes with the tool to help take off the keycaps - Is what a gaming keyboard should be - Subtle backlight, not that annoying bright backlight that doesn’t blend well when fading into other colors. - And exceptional customer service for a vendor off of Newegg
Cons: - The stock box came in damaged in the corner, but had no damage to the keyboard itself.
Overall Review: I am a fan of cherry red keys. Cherry blues are too loud and could be picked up from certain headsets I have. These keys are smooth to type with, not just for gaming. I have been using it to do my schoolwork for college on my desktop and have had no issues. There’s also a key that’ll bring up the calculator instantly on Windows. Worth my money and investment.
Pros: -Genuine Cherry MX switches. -Solid Construction. -Medium thick doubleshot PBT keycaps -Decent onboard features. -N key roll-over -Decent lighting effects. -Top casing is a very fine metallic black colour. -Cable routing channel is nice. -Type c. -Comes with a cute wire keycap puller.
Cons: -Keys are a bit rattly, squeaky, and really pingy (They're cherry mx after all). -Documentation is in Chinese only. I had to google lens it to figure everything out -The gap between the keys are a bit further apart from each other than on standard keyboards, which may be an aesthetic thing, I personally don't mind it too much, but it is a bit weird when you see it. -Keycap legends are trash.
Overall Review: All in all a pretty and functional keyboard for work and gaming that feels pretty close to a ducky one 2. The keycaps are nice feeling and pretty thick, but the legends on them make them look cheap. Most of my gripes with this keyboard are from the switches themselves. Under normal use cases like gaming and fast typing it's not too noticeable, but during down time every rattle, ping, and squeak seems amplified and that really ruins the experience.
Pros: Keys are really nice, Keycaps are clean and really easy to navigate, the whole setup is really clean and easy to fit into setups. Price is bloody amazing!
Cons: *1The site doesnt really allow you to select the keyboard you want with the switches you want. I wanted the silver switches but wasnt able to actually get the colour scheme I wanted, even though it said it was available. Macro keys are really hard to setup and I feel like it needs an english manual even if its just printed in english on a piece of paper - luckily the site does have an english version but i shouldn't need to refer to the site for easily solved problems.
Overall Review: After thinking I had got the other completely different switches, opening the box surprised me in finding that I'd be slightly upgraded to brown switches!*1 I really like the feeling of the keyboard the keycaps are alot bigger than I was used to so playing games with the keyboard at first was a task and troublesome but after a few days I was chilling! I really like the feeling and the scheme of this keyboard its really a great addition to my peripherals :)
Pros: - PBT keycaps - Cherry MX switches - Great build quality, no board flex. Matted plastic shell so no finger marks show - Removable USB cable with plastic guiding grooves to ensure cable is inserted effortlessly or removed effortlessly when transporting/ storing. - Comes with a wire key cap remover - Comes with a dust cover (low quality flexible clear plastic one, but nice it is included) - Cable routing on the backside of the board for left and right exit points
Cons: Major Cons: - NOT DOUBLE SHOT like it says in the description. Definitely disappointed about that, as the lettering may not last as long. Since these are side engraved, probably won’t wear out quickly as the lettering will not be touched by regular typing. - Colour on both the keycaps and board is just slightly off white. Difficult to tell on it’s own, but when side by side with other PURE white peripherals/ cases (like my NZXT H500), it is something you can notice. Cable is pure white and you can just slightly tell the difference. Still compliments my white set up well regardless, just would have been nice to have the finish be pure white to match perfectly. Minor cons: - PBT keycaps have a slight jagged grooves/ chips on the inner edge when you remove them to inspect them. Almost as if they were broken off a mould. Very minor, since you can only see this if you look underneath the keycap. Impossible to see when they are on the board so very minor point. - Cable is not braided
Overall Review: Neither a pro or con - just the board has 3 small blue LED indicators for caps lock (etc) under the function keys to the top right of the board. So far, very satisfied with typing on this board. Aesthetics aren’t perfect (slightly slightly off-white) and no doubleshot keycaps is disappointing considering it is advertised it in the description, but overall solid, compliments my build and I am happy with it.
Pros: Size is perfect (and standardised) for what I need, as I don't often use the numpad except for occasional 2FA entry. Cherry MX Brown switches feel great and of good quality. They are so quiet compared to my blue/greens on my other keyboard, they are a huge relief to my co-workers in my open-plan office! When ordered, the left ctrl button was not working (required addl. pressure to engage), but Jeremy from Pandatek was very helpful and responsive, and processed the RMA quickly. Upon receipt, he shipped a replacement keyboard and it was here the next day. Keyboard was shipped from China originally, but replacement was already in NewEgg warehouse. Good support from Pandatek!
Cons: None
Pros: - Their customer service is really helpful. I ordered the wrong switch type and contacted them. They responded very shortly and exchanged for me.
Cons: - NKRO with ghost keys.
Overall Review: - Don't know if this matters. The 3087s driver on the site won't recognize the keyboard.
