The HP DesignJet T850 is an A0 large-format inkjet printer with built-in scanning and copying, suited to offices and design teams that need to print, scan, and copy large documents and A3/A1 jobs from one device.
Recommended For
- Architecture, engineering, and construction teams that regularly print full-size plans, maps, or line drawings and want a 36-inch plotter with integrated scanning and copying.
- Small or mid-size offices that alternate between everyday A3 sheets and large-format drawings and want to handle both on one device.
- Teams that need to digitize or copy oversized technical documents as part of their print workflow, rather than using a printer-only plotter.
- Workgroups with recurring batches of A1-sized plans that value quick turnaround and fewer cartridge changes; HP lists 25 seconds per A1 page and 130 ml or 300 ml cartridges.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- An architecture or construction team prints full-size plans for design reviews or job-site use; the large sheets keep drawing details legible for discussion and reference.
- A team prints a mixed set of large drawings and smaller supporting pages; the integrated tray and multi-size workflow help keep both formats on one device.
- An office needs to digitize a marked-up plan or make working copies of a large document; the built-in scanner and copier let staff handle that task at the printer and share a digital scan.
- A GIS or engineering team prints maps, site layouts, or technical drawings for planning and field reference; large-format output makes the overall layout easier to review on paper.
- A school or office prepares a large poster, presentation graphic, or schedule sheet; staff can print it in-house instead of sending each oversized job to an outside print shop.
