Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 - OEM

Pros: Low profile keys are really awesome, although I was skeptical at first. Traditional arrow and insert/home/delete/etc layout are big pluses. Quiet compared to my cheap no-name keyboard I had before. Ergonomic 6-degree curve is a welcome change - curvy enough to be a little bit easier on me but not so that it's going to take me time to get used to it. My rapidly deteriorating wrists appreciate it!

Cons: Space bar is a bit wimpy for me - I wish it felt a little more solid and gave a little more feedback. For me, it could use a few more media buttons - namely next track, previous track, but YMMV. It deserves its 5-egg rating though; I think its the best wired keyboard for this price.

Overall Review: for those that are wondering, the silver buttons in the center are volume down, mute, and volume up; it's hard to tell from the picture.

Pros: I do alot of gaming but I also do alot of typing so I did not really want to fork out alot of cash for a gaming keyboard and I'm really glad I didn't. This keyboard is just amazing for $15 you can't beat it. I love the curved design, I used to have to keep my keyboards at an angle because naturally your arm is not perfectly straight when your typing so straight keyboard needs to be angled. The keys are great and very easy to push in and have a soft feel to them when you type. The design is not so different that you have to learn how to type again and it is way better then a standard keyboard design and so much more comfortable and easy to type on.

Cons: Shipping costs... After the price of shipping it was actually cheaper at a certain popular brick and morter store ending in Mart... Not to big of a deal though because I like shopping at Newegg and the extra $2-$3 I paid was worth it I guess. As far as the product itself I can not think of any cons.

Pros: It's absolutely the best keyboard I've ever used. Looks great, works great, VERY easy on the hands and wrists. The "lock" indicators are gorgeous.

Cons: A few extra buttons would be nice, but for the price you get plenty.

Overall Review: To the reviewer who mentioned that more media controls would be nice: I agree, but if you download the keyboard's specific software from Microsoft you can re-map each of the extra keys. My last one - which I broke earlier today, leading to me using a horrible Labtec wireless as I order a new one - had the browser forward/back buttons remapped to be previous/next track, and it worked great with Windows Media Player.

Pros: Good keyboard... solid, not too loud, comfortable

Cons: It's not a ridiculous gamer's board.

Overall Review: Ok what the hell is up with everyone making keyboard layouts with all funny wonked up Delete keys and weird placements? Where the hell did my Home key go? I don't want it next to my blasted F12! This keyboard does the right thing (TM) and uses the traditional six pack layout. That's a good enough reason to buy this thing right there. All you other keyboards can go where the sun doesn't shine. I'm not a big fan of media keys on keyboard, mostly because I don't use them, but also because the last time I had one it came with a stupid bloated driver package (5 points if you can guess the manufacturer). The only hotkey I've tried on this one is the calculator. Surprisingly, it worked right out of the box (on Windows 7) with no driver install. So there's some crazy mojo going on here. Maybe 7 comes with the drivers for this thing already. I have no idea how to change these hot keys. But I don't use them so I don't care. Except for the calculator button. I use that one.

Pros: Really nice low-impact keys if you do a lot of typing. Calculator button is just convenient for me. Looks good, with the light-up symbols for numlock, etc., as well as the overall black finish. Matches my case, at least. THe ergonomic curve only requires a little getting used to. I, unlike some others, don't consider the space bar flimsy. I use this keyboard for typing works of fiction, sometimes 20k words a day, and it's comfy for that.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I love having a traditional numpad/ins/del/etc. :)

Pros: The keys feel great and the curvature of the keyboard took no getting used to at all. Feels very natural and comfortable touch-typing. The shortcuts included on the keyboard are nice and work perfect with Windows XP. Very happy with this keyboard.

Cons: None, so far.

Overall Review: This is the best deal going for 15 bucks.

Pros: Great price, tactile, responsive, and quiet keys. Attractive looks and solid construction. It has sturdy key labeling and keys for sound control and web/e-mail functions.

Cons: All of the keys are tight and responsive except for the space bar. This is seen with alot of keyboards, though.

Overall Review: For the price, this is a great keyboard. I bought two of them and am very happy with both.
